So now Reed is wearing one and so is Domashev?

Seems appropriate for this movie.
"Who wore it best?"

Would've been nice to see an attempt at paying homage to the original outfits, but these are just very bland.

Yeah, at the very least they are boring. If these were just generic outfits worn by different characters in another movie they still wouldn't look good.
The Daredevil TV costume.

Falcon's costume from TWS.
We haven't seen the final Daredevil TV costume, only the prototype. Even so, at least the prototype looks comic book accurate.
And the falcon costume looks pretty cool, not sure how these trash bag suits are better than that.

The Daredevil "prototype" is not comic accurate in the least.

The only time Daredevil ever wore similar suit was in an Incredible Hulk TV movie, and when he wore black sweats in Frank Miller's TMWF.

It's clearly an adaption of the suit from a Man without Fear (one of the most beloved DD stories), in which case it is pretty dang accurate.

So I fail to see your point.

My point is I don't consider sweat pants a good superhero costume.

Not really a complex concept, but you're free to be as befuddled as you please.

You're confusing personal taste with comic accuracy. Whether you like it or not it's lifted directly from the page.

You said it wasn't comic accurate, which isn't true. It's a very loyal adaption, the biggest change they made between page and film is that he isn't wearing sweatpants in the netflix series. So you're wrong there as well.
What's especially funny is that when you really look at the costume and compare it to the FFINO suits, they look largely similar.

The biggest difference is that Daredevil's is almost supposed to look basic and cobbled together since it's only the prototype. We know he'll have his classic suit later in the series, so this is basically Spider-man's wrestling outfit. The FF, as far as we know, have those drab, unfaithful suits throughout the entire film.
Appreciate the condescending tone though, that's totally necessary

There are plenty of either horrible things or simply thinks that wouldn't work in live action that have appeared in comics - Daredevil, FF or otherwise - that hardly means they should be championed.

Again, you are defending the FF suits and lambasting the DD costume, but look at that picture I just posted and try and tell me they don't look similar. And let me again remind you that the Daredevil suit is a temporary one that comes from the comics, intentionally designed to look pretty basic.

If these awful suits could be replaced with a set of matching blue running suits, I would give Josh Trank a big, wet kiss on the lips.

It's not even a superhero movie so this question is moot.

My suggestion would be to not overanalzye or over think about this movie because it will only make you more depressed. Life is too short to worry about such stuff. Cheer up :yay:

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd hear that in relation to a FF movie.

I'm not a fan of X-Men: First Class's jumpsuits, Halle Berry's Catwoman outfit, or Thing's blue pants from the Story films, or Captain America's Avengers suit, so that's at least four for me.

For Doomashev alone. Yes. For the Fantastic Four. Not really. They're just underwhelming and unimaginative.

Yeah. If you can even call these "superhero" costumes. They look more like leftover costumes from GIJoe.

He most famously wore the Netflix suit in a Frank Miller story; One considered one of Daredevil's all time best.

As bad as the Daredevil suit looks, the FF costumes are still the worst since Bat-Nipples since they don't have the synergy which the FF require.

The Fantastic Four aren't the Avengers, Justice League, X-Men or Guardians who are brought together by circumstance. They're a family as well as respected scientists. They're part of the established Future Foundation based out of the Baxter Building in Four Freedoms Plaza. They are quite literally part of a larger science collective with a public address. The uniforms need synergy because they're meant to represent the company they work for. There aren't laws allowing them to operate because of how respected they are despite being vigilantes like the Avengers, they aren't contracted by the government to police their own kind even if it means violating the law to do so like the X-Men, they're corporate-sponsored superheroes.

The X-Men are needed because they don't trust the government to police mutants and the government would rather rely on mutants to fight other mutants since they're ill equipped to handle people who are living weapons. The Fantastic Four on the other hand develop new inventions and explore the unknown for profit. They're proud to serve the Future Foundation and wear their uniforms with pride.

That's why they need matching uniforms and that's why these costumes fail harder than DD's does.

I think Catwoman was worse. I felt it was offensive and demeaning. These ones are merely pathetic and lazy.

Again, DD's costume does not "fail" any harder than Spider-man's wrestling outfit in the first move. It's serving the same purpose.

Not just for the last 20 years. This is the worst interpretation ever. This wasn't even something that came out bad due to budget constraints. Sure, the Roger Corman outfits looked bad, but that was shot on less than a television series budget.

The design is lazy, it looks stupid, and just adds another layer to this already dreadful film. Yet there's still going to be people talking about how awesome this is.

No matter how bad you thought the first films were, they nailed the outfits. Even as much as they screwed up Doom character wise, the costume was pretty cool, especially the mask.

This just plain sucks, no two ways about it. Plain black outfits?

And please don't bring up the X-men costumes, because they still got most of it right, it was more like with Batman where they went to an all black color scheme, but they tried to keep bits and pieces close to the comics, like Cyclops' visor, Storm's cape.

This just plain sucks and even the proponents of this film know it.

The two that came to my mind were Bat-Nipples and Catwoman, but I looked at both of them:

And decided they looked okay in comparison. At least they're both somewhat recognizable and seem to fit the characters. I think those costumes in better films could have worked reasonably well.

And in the case of the FF, if they all had designs similar to Johnny's, I think I'd be able to stomach it a little more, but Reed's is just terrible and the lack of uniformity takes away the whole concept of them being a team.

I would be okay if they weren't blue as long as they were consistent and looked more like Johnny's. It wouldn't be what I would choose, but they wouldn't be the worst in 20 years under those circumstances.

Even with Bat-nipples, they at least kept the recognizable look of Batman. There was no question on who it was. Trank's containment suits could be from any Sci-fi movie characters, there's nothing iconic about them.

I haven't seen Steel or Catwoman so I really cannot attest to the quality/lack thereof of those suits, but these are without a doubt the worst I've seen in any "Marvel" film. There's no getting around that, they are drab, uninspired, and generic looking.
