I had a Fire and gave up on it. It was horrible to surf on and I couldn't find all the apps I wanted to use. That's why I switched over to the iPad. Lots of apps for that....

Yeah, they ended up like switching the... (I can't word right now)... interface? The system? from whatever it came with to something Linux based for coding reasons and play with it sometimes for that, but they don't use it for anything else because it actually pretty much sucks if you don't want it just to read Amazon books on.

I was excited until I realized you meant like an iPad kind of tablet and not a pen/drawing tablet :whatever:

Haha anyway, collectively some family members have the iPad, the iPad Mini, a Kindle, Kindle Fire, and a Nook Color.

The iPad Mini user is the happiest.

iPad: Does everything the Mini does, except it's huge and a lot more expensive. User says they might as well just use a laptop because of its size.

iPad Mini: Perfect size, capable of everything in your list.

Kindle & Kindle Fire: They used it for a while and then stopped.

Nook Color: Uses for reading mostly, playing some games, and surfing the web (frustratingly).
:hehe: If it helps, the Samsung tablets come with a stylus pen, dubbed S-Pen, that I could use for drawing. :D The one I'm intersted in has full Windows 8 on it.

I was actually looking at the Nook and Kindle Fire tablets before I decided they weren't really what I was looking for. They wouldn't provide me with the productivity I desired, but they definitely would have filled my casual user needs.

I've been looking at the iPad Mini 2, because Apple has promised free iWork suite (their answer for Microsoft Office) and that would be up the productivity alley. Unless it's just a really stripped down Word Processing app, then no thanks.

It was not what I was expecting, that's for sure. I never got around to a beer, I brought a camera so there's pictures, I'm uploading hem now, gonna post them in the album thread. Very unexciting though, the FOE is pretty mellow on Tuesday nights I guess lol.
Tuesday's are a bit quiet in most countries I think (unless you're a student lol). See what you can get up to on a weekend

That's cool. Now you won't have to wait so long to catch up. I know you will be left hanging by the end, for me the seasons go by WAY too fast. :)
The seasons are only 10 episodes which is a shame. I mean there's a tonne of content and depth for 10 episodes but I want MOAR!! :woot: I heard somewhere there willl be 10 or 11 seasons. Do you know if that's right?

There's like 5 books right? And some need to be split in to to get a season, so that'd sound about right

I guess I had this perception the FOE is always like it s on Friday Nights, I more or less sent most of my Fridays there growin up cause mom and dad are involved with the organization.

I think there's 7 books and from what one guy was telling me 4 of those have 2 parts. If it was filmed one part per season I guess that would make 11 seasons. But I have no idea how they are actually co-ordinating the show-to-book schedule and was hoping someone who knew might be able to confirm.

I almost never have big nights out Sunday to Thursday now. Hate having to be in work the next day feeling like crap. Fridays or Saturdays...not both (any more).

Don't know. Right now there are 5 books with 2 more expected. Starting with book 3 they split each book into two seasons so minimum you are looking at 5 more season just to catch up to print -- and that's assuming folks don't get bored with it. There's a ton of material for True Blood but that fizzled out. Of course Thrones is a much better story but you know how folks are. Fickle.

Thanks. From what this guy told me I thought the books had already finished. So that's good that there's tonnes more content all ready and as long as the show does good numbers it should continue. Where did you say you'd read up to? Just wanted to see if the later books are as good as/worse or better than the 1st few.

Some of the cool kids get theme songs, but they never check them. For shame.

Goro's catsuit

I do it because I love music like Marvin Gaye did.

So I want to officially decide my political party, but don't know which one will work for my post-modernist political beliefs. :hmm

Haven't you learned already to do what I do so that it makes you look cool? Just join the Cookies and Milk party. We just want the whole world to solve their problems over cookies and milk. No wars would ever happen.

Nah bro, you forgot the Great Oreo War of 1994. It happened a long time ago, a real long time ago.

You mean that guy from city council, he ran in 93, out in Oakland?

Yep. Same George W. that started the whole thing by stealing cookies from the cookie jar.
