For the first time FOX did something right and SONY screwed up?
2010 is killing me.

I am filling the role you, DAC, Lightningflash, and so many other did so well over the past few years. Get used to it, I am going to have fun playing your part:awesome:

I couldn't care less actually. I just find it funny ur emulating someone you detest (you claim). I personally think you have a man-crush on all of us listed here.

And I have tried to NEVER tell someone they are NOT a Spidey Fan, even IF I disagree with their opinions. They are simply opinions. Nothing more.

Yeah...the next X-Men movie is probably going to be better than this Spider-Man movie. Hard to believe but it will probably happen.

The only reason Fox didn't interfere with Avatar is because they knew better than to mess with Cameron. If someone else directed it it probably would have been 90 minutes.

If you couldn't care less, please quit responding to me:cwink: Put me on ignore.

You have NEVER told someone they aren't a Spidey fan but calling someone a molester is A-okay:huh:

As I said, Dark storylines mixed with moments of pure joy. Or again, if you think NOT, I suggest you read some of the ASM story arcs listed.

I actually didn't see that post.

I agree to an extent, but I'd say it's more pure joy with dark moments which is what Raimi did do with his films (he just went over the top with it at times).

I'm not talking about Avatar, I'm talking about after two failed movies, going back to the essence of the X-Men franchise WITHOUT rebooting.

Geez.. Make up your mind, is it that I made a play on your name when you admitted that you were gonna troll, or that I supposedly am telling people that they are NOT Spider-Man fans. Sheesh.. Pick a frickin Stand.

And I can look back in this thread where you posted "immediately" after me.

Why would I put you on Ignore. Never have (anyone) and Never will.

Besides.. I have dealt with the likes of Mr. Parker and Bakerboy.. T-Rust me, YOU SIR ARE NO BAKERBOY!!! LOL

and besides.. You're SOOOO much fun to "tweak".. and soo easy to get a rise out of too. Where else would I get so much bang for my buck?

Like I said, Raimi had his moments, (Spidey No More), but they were watered down by the ALL ABOUT ONE Girl BS.

He never really showed us a dark Peter with the symbiote, say turning on his beloved Aunt May. (yes, I know he struck MJ, but that came at the DAMN expense of the Cheezy Saturday Nite dancin on the bar CRAP) SO AGAIN.. watered down.

He DID NOT give us the death of Capt Stacy. No Death Arc of Gwen Stacy (or MJ in this wierd verse), he made EVER frickin single villain sympathetic, with the exception of Venom, and with Venom, he made him a throw away at best.

I think we (Spidey Fans) deserve MUCH better.

Happy is an understatement.

Only if it's actually an X-Men movie and not Wolverine and his super powered sidekicks part 4

What cracks me up is AICN suggesting that Sony should see if Cameron wanted to direct it (which he apparently hinted at still having interest in doing). It cracks me up because they don't seem to realise that Cameron is exactly the type of director they will not want for this movie. He's a man with vision, ideas and a strong player. Sony will be hiring a no-name, yes-man director for this movie. They just got rid of an independent thinker and it's taken them three years to do it.

Wolverine won't be in the film since it doesn't fit in the continuity.

So a Bryan Singer-directed actual X-Men prequel sans Wolverine

vs

Unnecessary and early Spider-Man reboot with a new crew picked out by Sony, who seem to love to micromanage now.

Yeah, X-Men is gonna win out I think.

I'm helping. Don't think I was gonna take all that **** sitting down.

Sony did the best thing they ever did to this franchise. They kicked the mediocrity to the curb. Now we can possibly get it right and get characters that actually act like they are suppose to act.

I like but don't love Singer's X-Men films, but I have to agree here. Singer's prequel will end up as the better film. I definately have a feeling Sony is going to micromanage the next Spidey crew, and it will lead to a cookie cutter product.

It's funny that X-Men needs a reboot after X3 FAR more than Spidey needs one, but the X-Men series is going to keep going, while Spidey gets rebooted. Funny world we live in.

Bryan Singer being involved actually makes me much more hesitant to see the new X-Men movie as I feel he crapped on every character not named Wolverine during his first two tries.

Hopefully the Spider-Man reboot will get a good director and have a solid cast. I still think they'll be smart enough to let marvel take control.

Well this news is certainly out of left field.

I'm really torn on this. On one hand, this has potential to be better than Raimi's films, so long as the franchise is put in capable hands (and that's assuming Sony knows what the hell it's doing).

On the other hand, this could end up being absolute ****. Not to sound like I'm hopping on a bandwagon, but the second I read this news, this was the first thought in my head:

"Fifty bucks says they get Rob Pattinson."

This news smells of Twilight to me. I don't know why, and I don't like it. If they're planning on dumming this franchise down to the level of screaming fangirls (no offense to the sane ones here) because of Twilight's unwarrented success, I won't have any of it.

I really can't comment on this until I see this thing start taking shape with a cast, crew, and director. I'm not familiar with the script writer, so I can't comment on that either.

And I mean, it's only been eight years since this franchise started.

Spider-Man shouldn't always be quipping. Sometimes, a scene needs dramatic weight. It doesn't mean that you're pissing on the comic if Peter is taking something seriously or acting scared about something.

LMAO!! :lmao:

I voted 'don't know'...in a way this can be really good and we can get perhaps the most fun superhero movie ever. On the other side it is waaayy too soon. SM3 came out in 2007 and although it was bad, it wasn't that bad to the point where it cant be fixed. I need to see the cast and crew first but I am sort of excited for this.

A reboot was inevitable...You only have one life to live, bring it on....but it better be good, or I'll be pissed :o

I honestly don't think Spidey's personality will be any different. There will be just as much quip as there was in the Raimi movies. Do you know why? Cause the writers Sony have don't really get the character. That's why they've wrote a story all the people excited for the reboot dislike. In another 10 years we may be having this same discussion over the next reboot for Spider-Man.

While I do think that Sam Raimi definitely still has it in him to make another great Spidey movie, I'm more looking forward to the prospect of a new Spidey, new Mary Jane, and some different takes on the villains.

So.... my final attitude will depend on who takes over the reigns of the Spidey franchise, but for now... BRING ON THE REBOOT!

All I want is more Spider-Man movies, so I am a bit sad by the set back of not seeing another one for 2 & a half more years. Raimi's take on Spider-Man was boring as hell but I still enjoyed the movies because that was all we had at the time, but hopefully with the reboot Spider-Man can be done even greater justice.

Glad that tobey is not spidey anymore. Let's hope we get the Pete that is a cool guy, with problems like everyone but it is'n the whiney kid we got in these series of movies.. And of course the funny spidey!!! This rumors of dark and gritty make me worry.
