He's clearly gotten better. I think this is kool enough. I read OR #1 and 2, I did have TOO much trouble getting through them.

Liefeld isnt the worst artist as everyone claims he is. I can think of a hundred guys worse ..for example..Mark Bagley. And everyone seems to agree, wether they like his art or not, that Liefeld has improved, unlike oh I dunno..John Byrne, who gets worse as the days go by.
Like I said the other time this SAME thread was started...bashing Liefeld is nothing more than cliche. Similer to bashing Byrne (which I'm sure folks will site the comment I made about him.) and now bashing Frank Miller for ASBAR.

Okay, did someone just call Mark Bagley a worse artist than Liefeld? Heck, I even in some way, like Liefeld, but Bagley actually has a sense of proportion and anatomy. He's not by any stretch of the imagination, a bad artist.

In Bagley's pages people age fast/de-age, get wonky eyes, f'd up proportions,etc..he is TERRIBLE and the only reason anyone likes him is cuz wizard promotes him and Bendis on ultimate spider-man (which is the worst book marvel puts out) to no end.
For example a few years ago wizard did an article on the best in the industy..(artist, draws the best girls,colorist,cover artist etc..) they named Bagley best storyteller. Now come on, you may hate him or like him but he is in no way the best storyteller in the industry. What about guys like Darwyn Cooke or John Romita JR who can do circles around hacks like Bagley? But he got it cuz marvel pays wizard to promote crap like ultimate spider-man.

Yeah if you look at his left index finger it does look like a glove.

Everytime I see a thread like this I still haveta defend the guy. I always liked his style. I remember when he first did New Mutants. I picked up X-force because of him and his stuff on Youngblood's. Admittedly though I haven't bought a single thing he's done in the last 12yrs but from what I've seen he really has improved.

Honestly? Good for you for not reading either one. Wizard is nothign but crooked propaganda and ultimate spider-man ..well I wouldn't even use that as dog toilet paper.

agreed. I'm not sure how anyone can dislike Bagley given he's generally considered one of the definitive Spider-man artists thanks to his extensive run on The Amazing Spider-man. he's even responsible for the design of Carnage.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I already stated that I didn't see any improvement in his art. I have a bunch of friends that are of the same opinion. It's very possible that his art looks better because of the coloring methods used today, I've seen pencil work that looks horrible but looks passable when properly colored. There goes your "everyone" statement.

Everyone likes to make fun of stupid stuff like monkeys sticking their finger in their butt, sniffing it and then falling off the branch they're on because of the stink; Liefield's pencil work and ASBAR are pretty much like that. Some people might go "awwww the poor monkey!" while the rest are laughing their heads off. Rightly so!
