Comedy Arrested Development - Part 1

Hell no, I want another season, dammit.

I'd rather have a movie where they get all of the cast to be in the scene at the same time and have more cast interactions than having another season where they are mostly seperate

I'd rather them have a season. A movie would feel too rushed to wrap everything up.

I didn't hate the last season. I think there were good things about it, like Gob's and Tobias' episodes, and the overarching fact that each of the characters are in worse places, emphasizing the point that they're worse off without each other than with each other (especially when it came to Michael).

With that said, you gotta have the whole cast together in order to make it all work. Doing it the way they did last season should be stay a one season ordeal.

Everyone, we live in a world where we can freely speculate on what they need to do to make a fifth season of "Arrested Development" good. Just think on that and be happy.

Late to the party but I binge watched season 4 over the past few days and for the most part enjoyed it. I really liked how each episode mainly focused on each character and how interconnected it was. There are some really cool cameos throughout the season as well.

I hope they go back to a more traditional structure next season. What they did in season 4 was a nice experiment, but I don't think it was entirely successful or satisfying to watch.

Carl Weathers needs to return....preferably auditioning for the role of "Carl Weathers" in the movie Ron Howard was making in season four, only to lose out to either Billy Dee Williams or to even another Rocky star himself, Mr. T.

I still think it's funny that they managed to do a running gag about George Sr. seemingly transitioning into a woman in the fourth season of AD, about 1-2 years before Transparent was even a thing.

Hollywood Reporter saying filming is set to start early 2017 for S5.

If they can get the schedules to work where more of them are in the same room to play off each other then great.

Arrested Development's Surprising Season 5 Premise/Format Revealed — It's Going to Be Part
Get ready to see the Bluth clan like you’ve never seen them before — and we mean that literally.

Although Netflix declined to confirm/comment, TVLine has learned exclusively that Arrested Development‘s long-gestating fifth season will likely have a major prequel element, with potentially half of the action unfolding in flashbacks featuring much younger versions of all the principal characters (played by different actors).

Return of Seth Rogan and Kirten Wiig as young George and Lucille?

Since they clearly can't get them together for full seasons anymore, ditch them and just do movies from now on.

Or let it die. Season 4 was bad enough. Don't want to see a bunch crappy flashback filler now just to fill out whatever amount of episodes they want.

I guess the cast is busy but are they really that busy? Why don't they just agree to do a real full season instead of doing whatever movie bit parts they mostly do now?

Just said it before make a movie(s). It's stupid to me when I see/hear people complain about not being able to get the cast to, understandibly, do the whole season but then be against a movie that'll get everyone together

But even beyond that. It just seems like the better move. The cast, their chemistry is what helps make the show so good. I mean if they can get the whole cast to be together for a season than Im good with that. But if you can't get them to take the months off because they have other obligations and jobs, then give me a movie that films for less time but brings the whole cast together for the full thing

I mean a lot of them probably have family stuff, voice actor parts, and beyond that vacations they want to take. Take Tambor for example. Films like what 13 episodes of Transparent which take a few months, then does his bit movie roles/voice over stuff, then he has auditions and stuff, and then I'm sure the man want's some family time
