This looks fantastic! Intrigued by Sara's back-story and expecting some cool action!

Can't wait! I think it's going to be the best episode yet o. Arrow! Maybe you should get rid of the poll till the episode airs?

Any idea who the guy with the sword is? Seems like he's a badass, as it looks like he caught an Arrow without looking.

First I thought it was natas ( not sure why ) but its turns out he is al-owal.

I can't wait for this episode! The League of Assassins, the Canary's back story with and without Ollie and maybe some Slade.

Anyone else looking at the poll and tempted to rate it a 9 or a 10, just based on the strength of that promo?

^ I was going to post a 10 because its obviously going to be awesome, but decided against it :)

I read Stephe Amell's post about the episode while getting gas at Sheetz today, and have to say, I am really, really excited about the episode. It is going to be gooood.

Amell has certainly been trumpeting this episode.I'm sure he knows something cool about it that we might not be expecting.:woot:

I don't have exact quotes, but generally, this is the best episode they've done so far.(in his opinion)

From Amell's facebook

5 day warning: Episode 5 of Season 2 is my favorite episode of the series so far. It's called The League of Assassins for goodness sakes.

I do not bestow the tag of favorite episode lightly.

My first favorite was the pilot, followed by episode 6, episode 14 & episode 16.

Episode 16 has been trumped by this coming week. The League of Assassins has the proverbial championship belt my friends.

AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO SEE IT!!!

I don't follow a lot of TV shows outside of...well, TV. Arrow being the exception (due to my strong love of the character from years of comic reading), so I don't know if Amell's constant state of excitement is typical of actor's on TV shows, but personally - I enjoy the hell out of how into it (character, show, support, etc) he is.

The Promo alone already looks pretty boss. Really looking forward to it. I wonder how it ends. Killing Sara would be too soon. Laurel will unfortunately be safe too. The League will probably threaten to keep coming after her. Maybe we'll get a big showdown with the League in the Season 2 Final?

The League could either be the overall Season 2 Big Bad, or maybe a half season threat. They're more intimidating and on a larger scale than Blood, but Blood's a more Ollie-centric bad guy with his ties to the Glades.

Either way, it's going to be interesting to see how much this expands the world around Starling city. They can add so many characters and ideas even without using the Demon himself. Shiva. The Seven Men of Death. Cheshire. Natas. Nyssa. Even Talia.

I ****ing hope that they don't kill off Sara in this episode. But I'm getting more and more worried because this episode is the last that we hear of her, and nothing from BTS info suggests that she has present day scenes after 2.9.

There are 3 possibilities for how things turn out.

1 LoA kills Sara
2 LoA is destroyed or crippled(so they give up) by GA and allies
3 Sara spends most of her time out of SC to make herself a moving target and becomes a recurring character.

I don't want Sara to get killed. The League just giving up, I don't see happening. They are a group that have too much pride, to just stop after one ass kicking. So I hope that she leaves Starling City. On her travels, she could meet Helena, maybe another kickass female Vigilante, and eventually return to Starling City, as the Birds of Prey.

I don't think the LoA will give up either or be destroyed until the final season. I rate it 50/50 between Sara dying and becoming a recurring character who shows up say 7-11 eps a season. If she is the BC full time like you want then they have to destroy the LoA this year. People would get bored if the LoA keeps attacking multiple times every season. for Sara to live in SC the LoA has to die IMO.

Another way out, is if they would kill Laurel (which we sadly know ain't happening). The League would agree to let her leave. But it would come at a terrible price. Like Sara said, the only way out of the League is death. And the League would be all like "A life for a life." Sara gets her life back, and Laurel loses hers.

The only way is death for the members, not sacrificing a family member. That would require an assassin to actually care and you don't want an assassin to care or be loyal to anything but the League.

Well, Sara obviously cares. So it would work in her particular situation.

No what I am saying is that most assassins would be ok go ahead so that wouldn't be the policy. If the assassin does care like Sara then they would make you kill them first or leave town to draw away the assassins.

And if they did kill Laurel, Sara wouldn't stay in SC she would go off and try to get revenge. That also puts her not in SC.

That'd be ok. As long as it guarantees that Laurel never becomes the Canary, I don't mind Sara being gone for a season or two, on a revenge trip. Until she eventually returns, because she realizes she will never be able to destroy the League, because of their vast numbers.

Another thing if leaving the LoA meant they went after her family then Sara would have stayed. She wants to protect them not bring more danger.
