No one remembers the Star-Hoppers of Aduba-3?

So disappointed.
This is where the creative forces of the bizarre 70s world of Marvel Comics and Star Wars first intersected (now ironically both owned by Disney)
Who were the Star-Hoppers?
Name all 8?
What movie(s) was their story derivative of?
After the official story arc ended, Star Hoppers was not only Marvel Comics first venture into an expanded Star Wars universe, but after
Splinter of the Mind's Eye was the first licensed "Expanded Universe" tale ever told.
Following the events of the first movie. while Luke and Leia go off on their adventure, the comics now follow Han & Chewie on their first adventure.
From a story lifted Lucas style straight from Akira Kurosawa'
Seven Samurai and subsequently
Magnificent Seven (
Battle Beyond the Stars came later) - Han & Chewie are recruited to protect a simple and defenseless farming planet, from a galactic menace. They in turn recruit Six more "great" mercenary/warriors.
Pretty neat custom figures of the group:
They are:
Hedji (a porcupine looking species of bounty hunter)
Amaiza Foxtrain (a female pirate, a gunslinger, and a smuggler counterpart to Solo.)
Don-Wan Kihotay (a delusional dreamer who carries on vision of the ancient Jedi Knights)
Jimm Doshun aka - "the Starkiller Kid" (a bizarre Luke naive farm-boy type look alike)
FE-9Q (his droid)
Jaxxon (a green rabit looking species that puts Jar Jar to shame, a smuggler and pilot of the star-ship "Rabbit's Foot" ...hence Star-Hoppers.
And animated...
Wait, I'm getting why they were all so quickly forgotten, ...and probably intentionally so.

Name three of the Skiff Guards - and the movie (and context in the movie) they got their names from?
