Comics Asm#566

I picked this issue up on wednsday and once again, it was awesome! I loved Vermin's return. I also loved the fact that Spidey wore the Daredevil suit. Overall, as I said, a fantastic issue and I can't wait until the next issue. :word::spidey::up:

Am i the only one who thought Peter looked silly in that daredevil suit? I would've preferred if Peter used the costume with the red eye, he would've looked so much cooler.

While it was cool seeing Spidey borrow DD's costume, particularly because they have similar styles of movement, this is still a re-hash story. Flash was once mistaken for Spidey.

And I don't really like the new cast, so I don't care what happens to Vin. Didn't Marvel say they needed to get back to the supporting cast? They had a great one: MJ, JJJ, Robbie, Flash, Betty, Felicia, Randy, even Jill. Why sweep most of them away for a new cast and resurrecting dead ones? I don't mind adding, but not replacing.

You're absolutely right... Flash was once mistaken for Spider-Man in ASM #5 back in October of 1963...

How dare the new Spidey-BrainTrust to not do their homework and use a story that happened before almost 45 years ago.

:whatever:

JJJ has been in the book almost regularly after being incognito for about 6 years (during JMS' run), as have both Betty & Robbie, and MJ made a recent return and will be back.

The old supporting cast is finally being used again after being ignored for YEARS... and we also get new people to add.

It's a win-win situation.

:yay:

What happened to Jill Stacy man? I was liking the whole love triangle thing that was goin on during Mackie's run.

I think once Mackie left the book, so did a lot of his plans/ideas...

:yay:

Good issue, but what's up with the schedule? I thought it was three issue arcs, one per week, then a week-long break?

Now i have to wait a bit to see how Peter gets Vermin off his back. (literally and figuratively :yay: )...

I said most of the regular cast. JJJ is being pushed off to the side for this Bennett who has come out of nowhere. Robbie & Betty are pretty much cameos.

So the old supporting cast is still pretty much NOT being used. The supporting cast has been Vin, Carlie, that girl (the late) Harry has been dating, and her dad. Last I checked, that's not the old cast.

It is just one case of them rehashing everything, like others have pointed out.

Carlie = Gwen
Menace = Goblin
Bennett = JJJ (even though we already have a JJJ!)
etc, etc

Basically, when there's a 4 Wednesday month, it's 2 weels between issues, but on the 4 months where there are 5 Wednesdays, it's 3 weeks.

Aloha,
I can't believe that I'm the first one to catch the glaring error of Peter, talking to Matt Murdock sticking to the side of the building IN HIS SNEAKERS:wow:Spider powers don't work through sneakers, never have.When Peter was on the ceiling in his apt with socks on, that was very cool. But it's almost classic for Peter to wear his shoes tied up and around his neck when he has to do something sans costume.Wacker was sleeping.

I don't read ASM anymore so I didn't see the scene, but what position was he in? If he was in one of those classic sitting-on-the-wall poses with his back to the wall, then he could have still clung to it with his back. If nothing was in contact with the wall besides his sneakers, you're right. Marvel goofed.

I think those powers we're erased along with his likability, dignity, heroism and judgement due to OMD. It was probably an error.
