Discussion of this weeks issue and it's badass ASM#316-esque cover.
The only decent pic of Spidey I have seen so far from Jimenez.
Play nice kiddies!
The main problem I have with Jimenez's Spider-Man is that he draws his head too elongated. The cover to #553 looked stupid.
Aside from that some of Spidey's action poses look a little strange. The rest of his panels,- everything else he draws is great.
I think the cover to #554 is killer.
Amen to that. Other than Spidey's head often looking like the Rhino slept on it, I have no problems with Jimenez's art.
Even though I'm not buying, I'm enjoying reading this rag on Thursdays (UK comicbook day), ...Thursday can't come soon enough this week. I get WAY excited about reading Spidey. Even crappy new status quo Spidey. Also I got the afternoon off work and I'm getting drunk while on the hype before I go out. Apologies if I am blabbing about nothing. BTW guys- I am not a drunk, this is the first time I have drank in two weeks.
Spidey Rules with Beer!
Yesterday, I picked this Issue up and it was awesome. I loved the stunning battle between Spidey and Freak and I loved Dr. Connors' appearance. It reminded me of the classic day of the Spdiey comics. I can't wait unti lthe next Issue.
Back in the Silver Age-The Big Man first appeared in Amazing #10, it wasn't for a little over a year, before his true identity was revealed.
Agreed, His Lizard looks really cool.I was glad to finally see a Jimenez version of the Lizard in that flashback cameo.
Very true, Donald. I may only be 14, but I do see what you mean. Also, The Big Man's real identity was revealed in ASM Issue #10, which is when he first appeared.Aloha,
I'm enjoying the serialized style of Amazing at this time. The fact that you WANT to know what's going to happen next week is exciting. The internet has really spoiled we comic book fans. Back in the Silver Age-The Big Man first appeared in Amazing #10, it wasn't for a little over a year, before his true identity was revealed. Nowadays, we want to know everything immediately. As long as plots and sub plots are continuing to be develped and within the BND world, continuity is being flowed, I can wait for some of the continuity issues created by OMD to be resolved. Enjoyed #554.
