Because they need to be spoon fed every single thing, step by step, to allow someone else to do their thinking for them. Even though one is seeing Spider-Man being punched by a giant Sandman, strangled by Venom, the audience must be told..."This could be the end of Spider-Man." We're unfortunately programmed to not think for ourselves, that's why we run to Rotten Tomatoes website, to tell us whether we should like a movie, how much we should like it, or when we should hate it. Sad, but true.
Hell yea. A movie that only people who understand the subtle things can truly appreciate.

If they are that foolish, they might aswell make MJ bisexual!

Don't give Arad ideas :cwink:

Not exactly hating per se,but taking her as an arrogant girl with no heart
Read the comic strip posted in another thread of Peter dismissing her when she comes to him after Gwen dies.Thats exactly how I want their relationship to progress.Peter learning she has a heart after Gwen's death

Well Peter himself was pretty arrogant once he got his powers, so seeing any arrogance in MJ and ignoring her would be ridiculous, imo.

It needed to happen if Gwen was gonna die anywhere in the trilogy, doesnt matter if its the second film or third

It DOES matter when she dies. If Gwen dies in the third installment, they wasted an opportunity to go for the gusto and have Gwen trying to go after Peter then the other way around while Peter tries to keep her dad's dying wish.

And I will keep saying this if Gwen doesn't die in TAS-M 2.

Sony will make another edition in a year and a half with Director´s cut and sneek peek for TASM2 , i wish....

As my father used to tell me..."Wish in one hand and s**t on the other and see what happens first".

Things can still be explained just a little bit more and still be appreciated as much.

they could be. But i just dig the more natural feel of tasm. Its just what i prefer. I relate and pick up on subtle.

I don't mind subtle, but sometimes being subtle means you have to think a bit too much when it could've been explained some more in the film itself. At points with Inception, I feel like that.

Wouldn't it be cool if the blu ray displayed a time line of the threatrical cut and all the deleted scenes in one linear time line with tick/check boxes under each scene and then you can check or uncheck the scenes you want to watch and the blu ray remembered your choice so the movie is perfectly tailored for you and is as short or long as you want it to be.

Great scene? I certainly don't think so. It does little to nothing to improve upon what was, in every other scene, about showing how much Peter and Gwen care for one another. It's just another tender moment between the two with no dialogue and imo it's better to leave certain things to imagination rather than constantly beating the viewers over the head with "Peter and Gwen love each other." Their 'date' with Gwen briefly shown swinging with Peter was plenty enough to give you the impression that they had a fun, intimate moment. Why do people constantly feel the need to see every single little detail? I don't get it. IMO the end of that scene showing Pete and Gwen swinging left them on a high note and showing that additional footage would have dragged it out and made it boring.

Well said, but I still love that little clip and would've loved to see it in the movie. Why? Because I'm in love in a girl too and this scene gave me such feelings of butterflies in my stomach! A bit egoistic, I know, but still! :)

Very well said! That's why I feel frustrated when people complain about things in ASM that were shown but not spoken.

I wont be mad if they have..ahem..'scenes' to show that

Good point

And I think that can still happen

As my father used to tell me..."Wish in one hand and s**t on the other and see what happens first".
Thats actually a pretty amazing saying :D

Tbh, I would. It would be a careless and pointless change, even if there is a lesbian scene in the sequel, lol.

And I think that can still happen

The likeliness decreases if Electro is the villain though.

Thats actually a pretty amazing saying :D

All credit goes to my father, haha.

So true, and this film needed it - it's obvious so much is missing from the theatrical cut.

Whoa! Nice review

Not to knock the Avengers BD but that's how you do a supplemental package to a major studio film. Amazing makes half of what Avengers makes and yet Sony goes all out for the supplement material.

This is how it's done.

I disagree, the only things I want from the extras is

1. A massive effects reel
2. The trailers

and in both Sony consistently let me down. We'll see if they let me down again.

After reading that review, I'm going to be picking up this release as quick as possible!

To be fair, RT can also be used to gauge if it's worth watching a movie or not. Thus whether to waste your time and money, or not.

Can we all shut up about a directors cut?

We're not going to get one. The deleted scenes are there, make of them what you will. It'd be a slight possibility if they didn't include them AT ALL.

And the scenes just barely add anything to the movie anyways. The Lair scene has a hint about the fact that Peter was possibly special before he was even bitten, but that's all it is, a very slight hint.

The others are just filler imo. What we got was fine.

Although I do think the Lair scene and Connors Condolences should have stayed.

I think the Lair scene should have stayed at the very least because it enables TASM to work as a stand-alone movie for the most part, because Ratha's character doesn't end up disappearing in the movie. And I think the fact that Connors leaving his evil plans on a laptop without ANY password or security on it is silly.

We have, already...?
