We agree on the scene with Peter following Connors

That's the only deleted scene I wouldn't mind not seeing being inserted into the film.

The mods are watching you though with how many times you've been on probation, but they're mostly chill with stuff like that.

If there is enough demand we'll get a director's cut? Really?

So....where is Spider-Man 3.1?

People were demanding a director's cut of SM3? I would have thought people wanted to forget about that movie.

Where have you been where you never knew about people demanding a director's cut for Spider-Man 3?

Hrrm...

OK so first of all, I think most people know already that I love ASM.

But let me say this:

**** you Sony!!! The deleted scenes case was even worse than I imagined! Except for Peter sneaking on Connors and the extended toilett scene, EVERY deleted scene should have been included. Hell, with all the deleted scenes in front of me, I can even say that I can live without the Lair scene if they have Ratha in the sequel but the other Connors scenes had absolutely no reason to be cut if you ask me. They were all great and needed. I loved the Billy scene. I loved the scene at Peter's door. I loved the freaky Connors in the sewers (which makes the whole "You beat me once, but you won't stop me again. I'm getting stronger everyday!" feel alot more in context).

What makes this even more annoying for me is that they cut it before finishing the effects, which means one can't just fan edit them into the movie and make it look good.

I know some people here get annoyed by the Director's Cut talk here but I have to say that Sony must make a Daredevil here and do it! I can see why they didn't for SM3 since they probably knew already that they wanted to move on with something new. There's no excuse to not have one for ASM though.

EDIT: OK I liked Uncle Ben's actual death more in the theatrical cut but I liked the build up for it more in the deleted scenes.

Do you have the Blu ray? Or are these scenes online? If so can you link them to me? Thanks!

No one knows anything. Every scene cut except the Lair scene was so small and unneeded. Every deleted scene didn't need to be the movie. There is a difference between want and need. You want these scenes in the movie, they don't need to be. Avi had a control problem with SM3, but did we see him force his hand in SM1/2 or any other film he's made? You guys are being ridiculous. How do we know that Webb himself wants to keep Ratha for the sequels and deleted the Lair scene? You don't. Seems like if something goes wrong you instantly blame it on Avi. Stop it, it's getting annoying.

Tell me a scene, besides the Lair Scene, that NEEDS to be in TASM?

1.) It was nice to see Billy Connors rather showing a man that seemed to have a wife and child but there was no sight of either of them.

2.) It was nice to see where exactly Peter and Gwen went after Gwen tended to his wounds.

3.) Those deleted scenes also gave some insight of Curt's split personality with the Lizard persona, even to a point asking Peter for help.

The only scene I found to be pointless was Peter following Connors.

Finally someone who agree with me
Its ridiculous, not only now,if there's anything wrong with any spider-man movie int he future, immediately Avi will be blamed with no logic

After the Euphoria of having seen the deleted scenes was over,I hardly felt that any scene would have made it a whole lot better

Well okay,I agree that some of the scenes developed Connors a bit but not a whole lot,his plan was still ridiculous and one cannot disagree that the movie has a lot of flaws for which Arad/Sony was not responsible for.The way people talk,it seems that with these scenes TASM would have been the best origin since IM1 which is not the case

SM3, really? God himself couldn't make a better version of that flick.

You could cut the dance scene and the jazz cafe and not lose any of the narrative. In it's place you have scenes that better connect the story so it doesn't have to be explained by the butler. I think you could definately make a 'decent' director's cut of SM3.

All these deleted scenes would help!

Thank you. Someone else on these boards that agrees with me.

Bought the iTunes HD digital copy this morning and the majority of the special features are apart of iTunes Extras.

One of the most interesting aspects of the documentary is the amount of practical work and practical stunt work they did. From a couple of spots within the documentary, it looks as if Andrew actually did a few acrobatic flips and whatnot, with the help of wires and trampolines. The guy's kind of an athlete.

It's a great documentary. Not as good or as in depth as Prometheus but better than the ones for the Spider-Man trilogy.

The image quality of the HD digital copy is damn impressive. I know the BD is better but still impressive for a digital copy.

Just got my Blue ray today.

Saw the "making of the movie" Does AG know Parkour ? He was jumping here and there ..... litertally like a spider. No stunt man in those spidey suit scene.

He's got to know something because you're right, in a few moments in the doc, that's actually him in the suit doing a few moves and whatnot. Or it's a twin brother we don't know about.

From what I remember, Andrew Garfield actually has a gymnastics background, and I believe he claimed in an interview that he got into the sport partly because of he wanted to be more like Spider-Man as a kid.

Well, there you go. It shows in the documentary.

First part of the Rite of Passage series of videos if anyone wants to watch it. I'll try to upload the next one later today.
