I remember reading that. Hopefully we get a new trailer within the next month or so.

sadly fox are not going to comic con due to fear of leaks.

They can still release a trailer around the com even if they don't have a panel. Didn't Marvel do something like that last year?

I love the look of the colour pallete being dominated by the sources of light. Singer's two recent X-Men films used it too.

I hope this is nothing like the X-men movies.

Or at least I want a unique voice for this franchise.

What does comparing a specific instance of lighting have to do with an entire 9 film franchise?

Dude_stannis was talking about the cinematography and compared it to a film that uses similar cinematography. What does any of that have to do the "voice" of the X-men films?

People need to pay attention more to what others are saying before responding to them.

So he can say the cinematography looks like X-men but I can't say it shouldn't look like X-men?

I feel like the confusion is because one person commented on the visuals, but it sounds like the other is commenting on the content itself, both of which are unrelated in the comparisons being made.

I think it's just that problem that most video game stories are just patchworks to give you an excuse to play around interactive worlds.

I get that gaming characters are beloved and people like the immersion and lore of specific stories. But just because you have a cool game with a cool premise and characters doesn't mean you can boil it down and translate into a film.

A big part of why you like something like God of War is that it's like you feel like Kratos. You are playing as Kratos in his campaign of conquest and revenge and you have these sick chaos blades and demigod abilities.

You like Uncharted because it's like you're the Indiana Jones of your own adventure story.

If you put that into a movie all that goes away.

Video games give you better foundations for a movie than a damn theme park ride does, though, and they made PotC work just fine. I really think it's simply about finding the right cocktail of what elements to bring to the film/what to leave to the game/what new elements to bring to the film, and it's just that no one's found the right mixture yet.

Hollywood needs to make a Witcher film series. Theyve got multiple books and three large games to draw from. The series has a literal shot ton of fantasy creatures. All drawn from our fairytales and mythologies. Its got story elements from classic fairytales. Its got magic, witches, sorcerers, mages. Knights and Lords and Ladies. Elves and dwarves. Demons and beasts. The world has politics and intrigue. Wars. Battles. Etc. Geralt's life and the world he exists in is ripe for the picking and Hollywood is just ignoring it.

They are developing a movie, but it's not exactly got a group of talent behind it that makes me excited.

So Ubisoft admits that the Assassin's Creed movie is probably not going to make a lot of money.

I read what he said and he's not saying the movie is gonna bomb. He saying the movie regardless of how much it makes is good for the assassins creed brand. Basically saying we make billions on video games every time we put one out and our movie isn't going to do that.

Have you seen Macbeth? It's the same director, and lead actors, it has a good shot of being pretty good.
