Case in point. Stunt woman Olivia Jackson injured on the set of Resident Evil : The Final Chapter. Was in a coma for two weeks and eventually had to have her left arm amputated.

Another one was Dan Radcliffe's stunt double on deathly hallows part 2. The double was practicing a flying scene and was thrown into a wall and fell to the floor. It broke his neck and paralyzed him.

Devil's Advocate here, I'd be a little concerned with some directors and stunt teams pushing the boundaries a little too far to 'get that award'...

The goddamn academy awards are long enough as it, one more award is fine enough for us to sit through. These folks make believe the audience of some amazing visual images. Goddamn disgrace.

The promotional campaign has been pretty non-existent. They either blew all their money putting Kanye West in the trailer or FOX is getting cold feet.

We are still 3 months from release. (If they dont move it back to January or February). The marketing campaign is moving at a normal pace. We've had a teaser, posters, images, and featurettes. We should get another trailer in October.

I hope so. Big AC fan. When it's good, it's the best. I want to see that **** on the big screen.

I haven't gone to see many movies in theater (or period) in the past couple of years, but I'm interested in seeing this. Hopefully it gets good early reviews.

Recently Fox's promotional campaigns have been pretty dismal outside of Deadpool. X-Men: Apocalypse had a terrible marketing campaign and Assassin's Creed is going the exact same way so far. It's not apart of a well known franchise though so I'm thinking flop city right now. Especially if it gets the usual reviews video game movies get.

Agreed and co-signed 100%.

When the hell are we getting another trailer for this?

October most likely.

Exactly...

Makes you wonder...

No it really doesnt. We are 3 months out. Full trailer should drop next month.

I see the chicken little scramble is starting. When a few start to think the sky is falling or a conspiracy is afoot because the marketing isnt moving at the pace they think it should. Never ****ing fails around here.

If we dont have a trailer by November then it will be time to start considering the possibility that the film is being moved out of December because of Rogue One. But we are only half way through September and we are 3 months from the release date. The marketing is moving at a normal pace.

Well, they've already stated that they don't expect a huge box office. I don't see this as an admission that they feel the movie sucks. I just think they're aware of the general climate that video game movies are in right now.

If they didn't expect a huge box office why did they spend 200 mill on the budget?! That's ridiculous on their part

I already forgot that the movie exists and it's not even a long time since the trailer was released.

They didn't, they spent 130 million according to New Regency.

I'm confused what you meant

If he referring to the UBisoft president comments. He essentially said we are a video game compa and this movie will help further our brand regardless of its success.

I'm confused what you meant

''It is a lot more a marketing thing, it is also good for the image of the brand. Although we will make some money, it is not the purpose of this movie. The purpose is to bring Assassin’s Creed to more people.''

Ah i missed the link. Thanks

Still stupid to budget out 200 mill

The budget is even more absurd because only about 30% of the movie is set in the past. Why they needed to spend that much money on a film thats 70% set in the Abstergo bunker is a question Id really like an answer to.
