Audiobooks.. Have any of you purchased them? Are they eve useful.

So I'm on itunes browsing and I check out the audiobooks section....looked for anything Spider-man related. The only thing available is the SM2 novel... the same one I bought 3 years ago right before the freakin movie came out.

So I want to know.... has anyone bought one of these things? How is it... does it even have a purpose? Should it even be called a "book" since you're technically not reading?

I don't know..I have a couple of those self help ones.

I'd rather read a book myself than listen to it. I don't want to risk ruining an otherwise good book by listening to a bad reading. I wouldn't want to listen to one while driving either because you can't really pay attention to a story and drive at the same time. Or at least I don't think I could.
