I have a mint copy of the Saw comic (a one shot) that I just got autographed by Tobin Bell, the actor who played Jigsaw in the movie. Well I say mint but he did flip through the pages right before signing it. ;p Other than that, it's never been read. (I have another copy that I read.)

So anyway now I'm curious how much it's worth now that it's autographed. It would seem that Mr Bell knows a thing or two about comics, he said he had infact read the Saw comic before and he also dated his signature. He also personalised it with my first name.

I'm not sure that a regular pricing guide would tell me the value of an autographed comic. Anyone have any ideas?

Should had taken a pic of him signing it so you had proof it was him signing it.
Signed books can be a wide range of prices, those with proof of authenticity usually worth the most. Books like yours may sell from 20.00 to 40.00--or more
seen dealers sell some signed books with no proof whatsoever for up to 100.00 and more.

As a matter of fact, I DO have a photo of him signing it.

well it would be even better if you recorded it, with a lawyer and a notery there as well as have some sporting event on it the background with a clock right next to the tv and a calander next to that with the date x'ed.

ok, works like this:

if it's already a really valuable comic, a signature, any signature, may be seen as defacement. At the very most, it won't affect the value at all.

If it's your generic likable book, like a Civil War #1 or something, a signature can raise the price MAYBE $5-$10

If it's a random book, like New Warriors #38 or a Marvel Comics Present #876568 or some such, or a creator that isn't that hot, it's not going to do anything to the value because no one really cares

In your case, the Saw comic is an independent with only mild interest in it, and the actor didn't have anything to do with the book itself, so you're not going to find anyone who actually wants the thing. In theory, you could ask $5-10, but the only people who might be interested are hard core Saw comic fans, and you won't find too many of them.

Signatures will never make you a millionaire, and the only legitimate reason to get a signature is for nostalgiac and personal value

Any ideas on how much an Infinite Crisis #1 Jim Lee cover signed by Geoff Johns and Phil Jimenez is worth?
