Jigsaw has disappeared.

With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard.

One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes Jeff (Angus Macfayden), another of his victims, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them...

Saw III stars Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. The film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II), with story by franchise originators Leigh Whannell and James Wan (Saw, Saw II) and screenplay by Whannell.

was Whannell involved in the second? cuz I loved his screenplay

Actually this synopsis doesn't sound bad. When I heard there would be a third movie I thought they were stretching it. But this looks interesting.

Yes, he was. He provided the screenplay for both movies and is doing the same for the third movie.

Sounds like a brilliant concept and I can't wait for this movie.

then this one should join the "cool trilogies club"

looks very promising...i'm surprised. i wasn't that impressed with part 2 though, so i'm not getting too excited about it.

Damn it just reading that made me all tense, can't wait

I want to know if that female detective will be back again, she's been in two so far, no reason she shouldn't be the detective in the third one. Especially considering how close she got to him.

EDIT: Well checking IMDB (which you gotta take a grain of salt with) it says she is in it. So great.

I want to see this sooooooo bad. I'm going to be first in line on opening day.

sweet, nice way to end the trilogy

Um there not ending it. Its supposed to be a series of movies. Like FT13 or NMOES.

Wrong. The writers have said many times that this is the last Saw and that this will be the end of the story for good.

Not to mention the filmmakers already have several projects lined up for after SAW III.

If there's another film, it won't be for quite a while.

It did not deserve a whole thread for this.

Yes it did; and the summary is damned good. I'm looking forward to seeing Shawnee and Tobin act together, the only thing that was missing in SAW II.

See thats what im taking about lions gate already bought the names for 3 other movie yet people tell me no there only going to be 3 so who is right here. Lions gate or a poster on the hype?

The filmmakers said prior to the release of SAW it was an intended trilogy.

LG only did that so that they had the rights in case they ever want to make more SAW films.

The same thing was done with the Scream franchise after part 3. That doesn't mean there's going to be more films, it's a just in case issue.

Isn't there an official thread for all things SAW? That's what I meant.
