I would guess by now the Avengers probably know Magneto's and even some of the other x-men's powers and will have a plan to gain the advantage. X-Men will likely have a strategy as well. Hopefully it's not characters just throwing muscle/powers at each other. I mean it's 12 issues long.

I find it funny that everyone keeps focusing on the "how dumb, Magneto can control metal" argument. derp.

There are plenty of nonferrous and non-magnetic metals out there that his suit could be made of, and I'm pretty positive there hasn't been any actual Iron on his costume for decades.

The avengers minus Thor would be an interesting match... unless the X-men had Phoenix then stuff could get real

and magneto vs Iron man? really? Iron man would have his skull crushed in a thought.

theres no way Emma could stand toe to toe with Hulk. She cant use her telepathy if she's in diamond form and she needs to be in diamond form if he is close to her and even then we've seen it smashed in the past.

Of course, physically theres no way on that cover that she stands a chance in Diamond form. Dude will smash her to nothing. No one can stand toe to toe with Hulk on the X Men except Phoniex imo. An attempt to use telepathy on him could work if the telepath is powerful enough, probably be alot more effective to at least weaken him. Other X Men could be keeping him occupied. I dont see it as impossible for Emma to get in his mind at all, Prof X did it and Ive seen way more ridiculous **** in both comics.

-Prologue is out in March
-Main story will be in the AvX 12 issues and will be coming out twice a month and starts in April
-The fight book "Versus" is 6 issues and has two fights in each issue and starts in April
-AvX will spill over into some of the main x-books as well ie Uncanny, WATXM, Legacy and a few Deadpool issues

Some of them are kind of weird, like Spidey vs. Ice-Man, Hulk vs. Frost and Iron Man vs. Magneto (which is pointless, and just saaaad) but others are freakin' perfect. Rogue against Ms. Marvel, who she got the powers from in the first place! Juggernaut vs. The Thing! And my personal favourite--THOR V. STORM! Oh man both teams are gonna get their butts WHUPPED...I so can't wait to read this. Also, John Romita Jr.'s doing art for it, that's all you need to sell me on the deal.

Yeah, Gambit is not going to win this one, but I hope he still makes a good showing.
