Sequels Avi Arad interview

Damnit I was hoping Venom would come back for Spiderman 4 and play a bigger role, get more screentime as the main villain. Man this news blows. :down This movie will suck, just wait and see.

Am I hearing this right? A venom spinoff? They should have thought about that before they decided to send him to symbiote heaven. And don't get me wrong there are always ways to explain how to bring these characters from the dead. They just are always stupid reasons. So I say no.

Where's that head-banging-against-the-wall smilie when you need it?

I don't think it would suck. I doubt it would end up like Electra. The Spider-Man movies, and anything related to Spider-Man, seem to be more developed and crafted than the Daredevil movies. There will probably be a higher budget and a better creative team on it then on Daredevil.

You guys are putting way too much faith into the idea that the people making this movie care about continuity or reason. I dont think they would need to find a way to bring Eddie Brock back to life, it will probably just be some completely other guy, or else the symbiote suit finds Elektra. If they made Venom with Topher it would at least be fun to watch though. If they made it a story about his redemption, I would be shocked. Thats pretty bold seeing that we know him to be a murderous *******.

Plus, villians cant be sympathetic unless they're daughters are dying.

Breaking: Not everyone hates Venom.

I don't hate Venom. But I'm getting damned tired of people saying "Venom should return in SM4, he should have a movie all to himself, etc."

Breaking: Not everyone hates Venom.

Breaking: You don't have to hate him to know giving him a spin off movie would suck. The character only works as an enemy to Spider-Man.

But Arad is one of trhe key producers of Bratz and he predicts its success will lead to a sequel. He talked exclusively to PAUL FISCHER about Bratz and beyond.

What drug is this guy on?

The only way I see this working is if this version of Venom of a different timeline from the Spider-Man movies. A completely seperate entity, preferably with a director that will do it justice.

Raimi clearly had no love for the character (his take was to use Venom as a device for Parker/Spider-Man to physically face his dark side), that was painfully obvious from "3", which was a missed oppertunity if you ask me. The fans wanted more than what they got, which was more like a cameo.

Just my 2 cents.
