hey guys. I recently downloaded an AVI movie. but i can't seem to play it at all on any media players and/or burn it to a disc. i tried infranview and i tried to convert it to .mov but it didnt help. can anyone tell me how to play it on my computer and burn it to a disc. thanks

Do you have a DVD burner? You're not going to be able to burn your movies to a blank DVD without that.

You should be able to play it on your computer with a VLC media player, as for burning it, not sure what the problem is there but you could try converting it to an MPEG.

I have tons of AVI files and they all play on Windows Media Player.

Do you have the latest version of WMP installed?

More that likely its a Divx avi file you got

Divx

Download the codec for divx and try again

If that doesnt work i can point you to some software to tell you what codec it will be using
