Invictus also had a cool trailer, and though the movie wasn't bad, it left me bored.
All the Green Lantern trailers made the movie seem so much more epic than it was.

Oh yes, Terminator Salvation. I loved the teaser for that. Shame the movie sucked so bad.

Also, the teaser for the disappointing Watchmen movie was pretty awesome too. I usually give it a watch whenever I pop in my DVD of The Dark Knight.

This turned out to be the biggest pile of steaming poo on screen since Chet in Weird Science or the sickly Tricaritops in Jurassic Park. This had one of the coolest trailers, it made me think that it really was going to be a remake of the original Halloween II (ie, exact shots in the Hospital from Halloween2) because RZ did such a great job adapting the original movie in his own twisted way while paying the utmost tribute, and I don't know, I was so against the remake of Halloween but when I finally watched it I loved it. So that said, I was expecting a remake of Halloween 2's setting in the hospital and the same brutality in RZ's remake. Absolute garbage. He doesn't even where the mask except for the opening and a few other parts. Horrible.

I think most here are working based on their personal anticipation as opposed to sheer trailer performance.

If I were make the same error I'd say Blade Trinity and Power Rangers

Otherwise I'd say TF2, Batman Begins, and Sucker Punch

What do you mean by trailer performance?

I would certainly say the teaser for TF2 was great too but the movie sucked hard. Also personally for me The Last Airbender teaser was okay for me but some people I know loved it. And well we know how the movie turned out.

I mean the trailer drops and you and everyone else thinks it looks amazing regardless of how much you've been looking forward to it or love the source material.

The TF2 trailer was great. The movie was a let down.
(the movie was about 3x more crowd pleasing than airbender)

This doesn't make any sense. No one enjoys seeing a trailer and then after the film doesn't perform goes back on it. Also I always base a trailer on it's own merits, not anticipation.
