Yesterday I discovered I got a malicious program that I never heard before called Backdoor. Bandok. After running spyware doctor, I thought the program was gone. Then, after I restarted my system, I realized my McAfee antivirus had been disabled. It wouldn't let me fix the problem because of an error. I did another spyware scan and discovered Backdoor was still there and it was in McAfee. In addition, a Registry Mechanic has detected many problems as well due to the program. So I deleted McAfee and decided to get Avast! finally. However, Avast did not detect any infections and I did an intelli scan for spyware doctor and it detected nothing. So I ran a full scan of doctor and Backdoor is still there. I have no idea how to get rid of it and I've tried everything I have. How do I get rid of it? And furthermore, how dangerous is it?

go and download malwarebytes and run it. It's really good and getting rid of malicious software. Also try reg crawler when it's all said and done and do a complete search for bandok and delete all instances of it. You should be good to go then.
