Oh man so much beneath the surface when it comes to the robots.

Excited to see where it goes next. Even with everything going on I feel like we've barely scratched the surface.

Also love:
The rendition of Paint it Black.

That was brilliant, as was the [BLACKOUT]piano playing "Black Hole Sun"[/BLACKOUT].

Really liked it.

Was surprised by Ed Harris's character being human. Though for sure he was going to be the Yul Bryner character. Didn't expect Teddy to be one of the droids. Also loved how that one guy killed the bandit, and the writer just sighed about his speech getting wasted.

I am real interested in what is going on with Delores. That final slap was a great way to point things out as not being right.

I really enjoyed the premiere. Conceptually, the show reminds me of the SyFy miniseries Ascension (but without 'hiding the spoon' just for the sake of 'shock value') mixed with a bit of The Matrix, The Dark Tower, iRobot, Terminator, and Tombstone.

I like the cast of characters the episode introduced us to, although I think the writers could've given us a bit of expository introduction and 'name-dropping', especially when it comes to the human members of the cast.

I'm also not sure what the point of the romance between Dolores and Teddy was, especially since they're both "hosts", but maybe this particular plot will end up going somewhere interesting in the weeks to come.

I understand that there was a bit of controversy in the lead-up to the show's premiere over the scene of Ed Harris' Man in Black dragging Dolores off to 'have his way with her', but, quite honestly, if you're going to set up a villain who's clearly got his own agenda and isn't there just to "play cowboy", as it were, you need a fast way to communicate that and set up how said character's agenda is juxtaposed with the normal "rules of the game", so I personally don't think the scene was in any way out of place, nor do I think it 'went too far'.

I'm definitely tuning in to the series in the weeks to come, and can't wait to see where they're headed and what their 'endgame' for the season ends up being, especially after that "in the weeks to come" preview.

I'm especially intrigued by Thandie Newton's character, Maeve, waking up in the "real world".

I question if he is human. They bill him as the gunslinger like Yul. So I think there may be something more going on with him.

Ed Harris' character is definitely human. He makes it clear several times that he's a "guest".

As far as the way he's billed, I've seen him credited as both the Gunslinger and the Man in Black.

Clearly, there is more going on with the Gunslinger than we know. That seems to be a very weird way to set pretty much set him up as human, only to twist it around later.

Every piece of information I've found on the show explicitly identifies The Man in Black/Gunslinger as a human "guest", so unless the showrunners and the network are deliberately putting out blatantly false information (which is a risky move because it 'buries the lead' and sets up false expectations, which could hurt viewership and audience interest), I see no reason to think that he's not actually human.

One of the best pilots I've ever seen. Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy are brilliant.

Felt more Caprica, than Battlestar. I don't know about this.

Always nice to see Trevor Philips around (if only briefly).

It was a perfect mix of Jurassic Park and Tron Legacy, with that Nolan-sauce and some JJ-pepper.

I tried to avoid all the previews and write ups leading to the premiere and boy was the payoff great. It's a superb premiere and I can already feel that I'm going to be hooked.

What are you even talking about? Why would you make such a weird comparison? The only thing they have in common is all three properties involve synthetic humans.

Do you also compare Godfather and Snatch because they both involve organized crime lords?

Yeah ERW was spectacular and there's really no weak link in the cast so far.

I usually don't like ERW, but she was indeed excellent here.

I really, really, really liked it. Properly creepy. The cast is fantastic, and they all brought it. Great to see ERW as the centerpiece and being perfectly comfortable considering the amount of talent here. Also seeing Shannon Woodward back on television is a damn good thing.
