He was clearly a decepticon. When Frenzy, or Starscream, or whoever it was radioed all the decepticons to gather Barricade responded. If Barricade wasn't a decepticon he either wouldn't have gotten the transmission or wouldn't have tried to respond.

I think you'd be giving the writers too much credit if Barricade was really disguised as another robot and was acting alone. If that were the case, it'd be ridiculous to leave something that cool from being, at the very least, strongly hinted at in the movie.

If that really is the plot for the next movie, I like it. ALOT. It sounds great without getting too out of control a la Unicron.

I think the Barricade is Prowl scenerio sucks personally. Barricade was trying to tear BB a new one when they fought, he had no reason to pick up Frenzy from Air Force One because at that point BB had already known that Sam had the glasses.

This will only confuse and congest the next movie with needless co-incidences. Kinda like how Raimi ****ed up the pefectly good and resolved story of Uncle Bens killing by adding the Sandman into the mix. :

What if they go the loner free agent "ya'll on yur own" route to explain his disappearance? This suits a Stunticon perfectly (they never considered themselves true Decepticons)... and from what I've read a Micromaster as well based on what I've read (I wasn't into Transformers at that point so I dunno about that one).

I actually like that theory. In the DVD cut they should add a scene of Prime, after he whiped Bonecrusher, looking at Barricade in his Cop car mode. Then he just turns around and drives off.

I hope Barricade's alive for the sequel, but maybe his death scene was deleted (for more Section 7), and will be restored in the DVD. I wish this cool Decepticon didn't bite it, but if it means we will get to see cool new TFs like Astrotrain, I suppose it won't be so bad.

haha that is hilarious! I just finally got my girlfriend to watch Terminator 2 tonight after a year and a half of trying and then I get on the forum and she saw T-1000 in the background and asked me was I on a Termintor forum and I laughed and said ''no Transformers'' haha. Barricade was the most bad ass character, I freaking loved him. I drive an 05 Mustang GT and on the drive home I was pretending Barricade gave me a ride home, to bad mine isn't a Supercharged S281 Saleen like him, drool.

No it wasn't, I guess you seen a different version of the film because everyone I knows say it wasn't there. You are talking about the comic book version of the movie, comic books always differ from the movie.

I personally didn't see it as I was focusing on Scorponik's tail but people in the theatre during the scene mentioned "did you see the cop car's door there?"

Anyone notice on the road Bonecrusher and Barriacade were together. Bonecrusher made the advance on the kids, Optimus attacked Bonecrusher, and then decimated him. Then next you know they are at the city, and about an hour later, optimus arives. What's my point? If Barricade was with Bonecrusher, and Optimus left the group to fight Bonecrusher, owned him in less than two minutes and then rejoined the group an hour later, what was he doing in that spare time? Optimus only should've been a few minuted behind the group, not as long as he was. This leads me to believe Barricade intercepted Optimus on the freeway and they fought for a while til Optimus beat him. This is obviously a deleted scene that was for some reason cut from the movie.

Yes, which leads to the assumption that the Prime vs Barricade battle was edited out of the final film. So far the writers have hinted that Barricade may be in the sequel, but this has only come about because he wasn't featured in the last bit, therefore it may be an accident that could be utilized for Transformers 2.
