Transformers New Michael Bay interview - Post 747

Not to mention that this movie will probably spell the redemption of John Rogers. Expect that guy to be getting major blockbuster work for years. Dear lord.

This is the only thing that troubles me about Transformers being successful. Before this film Rogers best work involved writing the scripts for Catwoman and The Core.:oldrazz:

That's a really good interview  Bay really redeemed himself with this movie! I don't think Spielberg could have done any better with it. In fact, it may have been much tamer.

TF puts Bay back on that pedestal.

...what?

I stand by my statement. In that interview (and others) Spielberg said his would have focused more on just the "boy and his car" aspect. And while that drove the movie, Bay's inclusion of the 'bigger picture' helped give it the tremendous weight it had.

Bottom line: They make a great pairing, and either of their single efforts would have been a lesser movie.
