If you look at Kristin Veitch's latest blurb, I think Kal8 posted it in the Season 6 thread. It would appear that as Clark battles each of these villains he will need to step up his game each time, making him more and more powerful.

So you might be onto something.

My stab-in-the-dark is that Batista will just be a one-off villain - that just happens to be from the PZ. If he's super popular *cough*, they might consider bringing him back, but I see this as just a cross promotional casting stunt that fits the show because of Batista's physique; it's gonna be a treat watching him have a super battle w/ Clark.

Remember, the SV producers and writers have the benefit of hindsight - something films don't have until the sequel. LOL

Sounds great but I wish Batista could play Lobo: it would be one great episode.

Since in several incarnation the Phantom Zone held more than just kryptonians, i still have high hopes for someone like Lobo to appear.

Um, yeah he does, he's still one of the most respected athletes to ever compete in the industry, the "fans" you are refering to are proably ******s who know nothing about it.

If HHH had not chosen Batista to become a part of Evolution then he would have been released years ago and remembered as Reverand D'Von's lackey. I agree and he continues to be pushed because of Vince's fetiche with big guys and of course being friends with HHH helps alot.
Chris Jericho would have been a great chance in the sense that he has charisma and acting ability but I think they really wanted a big guy as a villain from The Phantom Zone and that makes sense so I can't really blame them for getting Batista. But maybe they should have got John Cena, Kane, Taker or HHH himself as they can actually act a bit better than Batista.

As part of the WWE deal with the new CW Network, Batista will be taping an episode of "Smallville" next month, which will also start airing on the CW when it launches next week. According to WWE's web site, Batista will be taping episode nine of the new series which starts on 9/28. Several WWE Superstars have appeared on different TV shows including Angel, La Femme Nikita, MadTV and others.

He has been wrestling non-stop for many years. He wanted to give his body a chance to heal. Plus he's been greatly disapointed with the way business has been done in the WWE and he was one of many that found himself beating his head in the invisible glass ceiling on RAW that every guys that has been screwed over by HHH finds himself in.

It's the same reason most people watched Hogan's "Thunder in Paradise" and any of The Rock's movies. It's also why all 10 people are going to see Cena's movie . We(wrestling fans) recognize them, so we go out to support their attempts to do other things. We just never expect them to leave the business for it.

Why do WWE fans buy these garbage albums? (Agression, Superstars, Slam Jam, Cena's LP, Hogan's old rock n Wreslting jawn, this Fozzy ****). They need to step there collections up in the shelf and on the hard drive.
