Yea I think iv decided its my game of the year. I mean it's almost the end of Dec and I'm still playing it regularly. The performances in this game are almost flawless. Outside of the Burton and Nolan films this game is my favorite piece of Batman media. Love it.

It's one of my favorite Batman media as well.

I got this game for Christmas & have been playing it non-stop. I beat the main story today (I just need to finish the last Catwoman misison). I must say, this is the best superhero game I've ever played. Spider-Man 2 has been finally replaced as my favorite comic game!

I didn't see the hooplah for Asylum. Sure it was good, but I didn't think it was the best comic game. City however is! Almost everything about it was perfect! I can't wait for the third game, though I wouldn't mind if Rocksteady made a game about a new DC hero first. *looks at Flash*

Batman: Arkham Asylum was far superior to Spider-Man 2: The Game, in my opinion. Combat in B:AA was fun and deep. Combat in SM2 was an annoying exercise in button mashing by the time all was said and done.

Batman has had one hell of a couple of years. Between the Arkham series and the Nolan films, I'd say the characters popularity is at an all time high.

It's sure been a fun ride thus far. Looking forward to TDKR and what may come from a third game from Rocksteady.

IT will be hard top Arkham City in my opinion.

Happy neew year!

Happy New Year!

They have to do Gotham from here right? The whole city, with the Batcave and all, zipping around in the Batmobile etc? It's the next logical step and if Remedy are the guys behind it, it'd be an amazing game.

I bought this up a few years ago on another forum and someone argued that it couldn't work because the player would always accidentally (or intentionally) be running down civilians. I'm sure it would be easy enough to program them to leap out of the way.

Alternatively you could perhaps play as a villain, in which case you'd be able to run down as many civilians as you like.

That's a possibility. I recall how several side missions ([BLACKOUT]Hush[/BLACKOUT], [BLACKOUT]Azrael[/BLACKOUT]) in Batman: Arkham City end as being "Flagged for further investigation in the Batcave", so I would love to actually be able to return to the Batcave to continue the investigation.

I wish there was a way to buy costumes individually. I just want the '70s costume, since that's the best looking one besides the default one IMO.

I'd love to have the Year One and The Dark Knight Returns costumes, personally. Then again, I'm such a cheapskate, the only alternate Batsuit I have is the Batman, Inc. one.

i only have 70's, tdkr (pre order) and the batman inc suit
i was gonna get the suits pack but 400 points seemed pretty steep when i only want the year one suit

what happened to the individual suits for $1/80 msp aswell as the suit pack being offered ?

Is it possible to enter the Courthouse after the door is exploded during Protocol Ten? I ask because I'm trying to see Calendar Man.

There's a back door in the back of the building. From their you're already in the hallway you need to be in to get to Calender Mans cell.

You can go in the back entrance. There's a door at the back of the courthouse.

Batman is king

f*** all other super heroes :word:

Thanks! Ironically, having checked my map, I realized that there was a backdoor shortly after I posted.

I got this for Christmas and just finished every single mission in the game and I am absolutely in love with this. I need to give it a second playthrough before declaring it my favorite game of all time but I absolutely love the gameplay, the voice acting, the music, the writing, the stupendous graphics, the list just goes on.
One aspect I especially dig is how the Lazarus Pit is to Arkham what Kryptonite is to Smallville (the tv series) in that it's responsible for just about everything and everyone. The pit being responsible for Solomon Grundy, the connection to Venom and Titan, I'm sure there are others that I'm missing since they're not fresh in my head. If the writers wanted to they can make the Lazarus Pit under Gotham responsible for just about every freak there and I am totally okay with that.

I am so stoked for the sequel it's unbelievable. Azrael, Hush, Harley Quinn's pregnancy, Killer Croc WITHOUT the collar, Scarecrow (that dude is definitely planning something and seems to have done away with his old mask), a possible return of Ra's and The League Of Assassins (and between them and the Quinn baby, possibly an excuse for a Joker resurrection of sorts with a different voice actor). I'm speculating like crazy right now.

Also, CLAYFACE! Holy ****, Clayface! He was done better than I'd even expect in this game and in a twist that I totally should have seen coming but got me all the same. I've been waiting to fight that guy since he was behind glass in the last game and he came in full force as the final boss battle. Now THIS is a boss battle. They really listened to the fans here. That and getting to fight The Joker and his henchmen in his base, complete with roller coasters was...just a dream come true. That's what the last game should have had. Riddler is one I can't say enough about. That guy provided an entirely separate game to play after the main story was over.
Now to download Catwoman's side of the story. Great game. Absolutely great game that did a great job making me, the player, feel like Batman, on the beat, solving crimes. Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, bring on Gotham City.

I hoped for that too, but they didn't. So I gave in and bought the whole pack.
I really don't care for that Year One suit. It's so boring. TDKR's suit is not something I'm crazy about either. The others are great, specially the Earth One and 70's skin.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the next installment!
I'm thinking that Hush and Azrael will play some part in it, especially the prophecy that Azrael was talking about.

Scarecrow is definitely returning too. There's a bunch of Easter eggs that hint that he'll be playing a major role in the next game.

I hope Black Mask plays a big part in the next game too, as well as Two-Face playing a bigger role.

Beyond popularity, I think the quality of the Batman world's they've created over the past couple years, coupled with the great stories they've told, the quality of Batman as an entertainment experience has never been higher either.

Speaking of Scarecrow, I'm surprised that neither he nor Killer Croc appeared in Batman: Arkham City in the flesh after the cliffhanger(s) from the first game.

I would definitely like to see more of Black Mask, and perhaps more of Two-Face as well.

Croc appears. After encountering and defeating Ra's, try throwing a batterang at that button behind the bars in the sewers. You'll get a surprise.

Scarecrow is one I'm convinced they're saving for the next. It's Hush I'm really excited about. Good lord was he creepy. I'm sure he'll just be screwing around causing trouble for Bruce while all the big stuff is going on. I get the feeling he won't even be part of the conspiracy but weasel his way into being the main antagonist by the end and the final boss. Similar to Black Mask in War Games.

Agreed.
Do you think that Azrael's prophecy will come into play?

Agreed.

Absolutely. I think that Hush will be underestimated and cause major damage in the ensuing battle between him and Batman. I think this is going to be a game that results in the need for every partner Batman has in his arsenal. (all in missions similar to how Catwoman was done, with Batman of course being the main focus). Seeds have been laid down for Harley Quinn to raise hell in Joker's name, Scarecrow has plans, Clayface fell into a friggin' lazarus pit, Hush will make it so Batman can't even take off his mask and show his face, it's going to be pandemonium and it might be too much for Batman to stop all at once. It'll be a war and it's going to be spectacular.

Something that I hope to see is a siege on Wayne Manor for the wanted Bruce Wayne, similar to the episode "Over The Edge", with a battle ranging from the manor itself to the Batcave. Maybe even against Hush. My imagination is running wild with ideas for a sequel so they better anounce it soon and get the ball rolling.

That could definitely be awesome!

Ya know I'm not starting to see why people said the Batman Inc suit sort of reminded them of the 89 suit. I noticed today they sort of have the same type of boots.
