His DKR tank didn't feel like a batmobile either. By "batmobile" I mean something, that has the same strong symbolism in it's shapes and forms like Batman himself. Otherwise you can take any tractor, paint it black and call it Batmobile. If you mean big black scary tank/car - fine. We just put different meanings in it.

I like that they use Tumbler as a template for AK. Because Tumbler looks great on it's own. Refreshing. But it shows that Rocksteady tried to make it look more like something bat-related. And, actually, they succeeded. It has certain prominent bat-ears/horns, or bat-wings, depends on how you look at it. Bat-insignia. Fantastic.

Have you seen the behind the scenes from batman begins about the tumbler? Because they definitely designed it to have bat elements in the design which are pretty apparent (to me at least).

And both are preconceived, like Harley and Batman are. They're already done. People want the team to make different batmobiles from the movies and cartoons, which would ask for different sizes, which then would ask for different features, which then would ask for an adequation in specific environments and so on. Not just a reskinning.

I think the tumbler is pretty identifiable as a batman vehicle. It has the color, the uniqueness and yes it does even have a sleekness to it, I mean it even vaguely kind of looks like a bat:

There is no "right" batmobile template, every live action model has looked quite different from the last and brought its own element to what the batmobile can be.

Didn't you just show it's possible to have slight variances in models? The DKR model in particular is clearly heftier and wider than the other skins, but that didn't seem to pose a problem.

While I don't think it will be as simple as a skin job, the Batmobile being such a heavy component in the campaign screams for DLC to match.

I'm sure they'll have multiple Batmobiles in DLC, but like the Batman skins and slight model changes, they'll all have the wheels and cockpit in the same place, because otherwise they'd have to do also re-do animations and that's not a thing that's going to happen. If it's any longer they'll have to give it different collision detection and re-test to make sure that doesn't affect gameplay anywhere. It's a significant investment with very limited return.

Now from that base, they can do a lot, even more than with Batman outside of that base because the rest of it is static, so you can have the Spyder-style frame on the front wheels as seen above, you can add as many wings and flaps as you want wherever you want, you might actually be able to do something very tumbler-like with that frame. I think in fact, they can homage or send up a lot of the film batmobiles without totally jacking up the game design for Batmobile play.

It seems the video game world may be mimicking the movie world. Rumors have begun to circulate that Superman will make an appearance in Batman: Arkham Knight (via KDrama Stars).
There has long been a rumor that Rocksteady would like to work on another superhero game once they finished their Arkham story. Superman or the Justice League were always the likely contenders, and would likely be the properties Warner Bros. would push for given the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film and the rumors that it will lead into a Justice League film franchise.


We know that Batman: Arkham Knight will be Rocksteady’s last Arkham game. Rocksteady is also well known for dropping a ton of Easter eggs into their games. The rumor is that the Easter eggs in Arkham Knight will include radio transmissions of news reports covering the exploits of members of the Justice League around the world, confirming their existence in the Arkham video game universe.
On top of that, it’s also rumored that Superman will make an in-person appearance. He will fly into Gotham and offer aid to Batman, which Batman will refuse. The scene sounds almost identical to the cameo appearance made by Robin in Batman: Arkham City.
Of course, this is still all rumor. Even if it is 100 per cent true at this time, there’s still several months before Batman: Arkham Knight’s release for Rocksteady to change their plans. As ever, nothing is confirmed until it’s confirmed.

Yea that'd be pretty sick. I mean look at the Titanfall CE, that sucker is huuuge. Rocksteady could easily do something like that for their swan song.
