So is this going to be another empty city like AO? I just saw the trailer and people are being urged to evacuate the city.

I really hope we actually get a bustling city this time.
Yeah, I doubt it sadly.

Nops. It'll be ''empty''. Only cops, thugs, hostages and alike.

Not a chance. I'm actually really interested how they're going to incorporate the car. Batman doesn't kill, so you can't drive people over GTA-style. But if there are goons on the streets, what will stop Batman to hit them with the car?

I'll be having fun with Batmobile than noticing an empty city again,I have a feeling there will be much more thugs around though

I do too but I sort of understand why they don't go that route, i mean, your'e driving the batmobile, what happens if you hit someone? game over?

On another note, I hope there's thugs driving cars around. That'd be sweet, going all TDKR on em!

It depends on what people's definition of "empty" is. In my opinion, "empty" is when a city lacks detail and a valid reason (in the context of the world it takes place in) for it to not have that many people. That's when you get the "empty city syndrome". Rocksteady has been careful to avoid that problem so far.

Provoking car chases with thugs would be awesome

I was hoping we would see Gothamites getting about but when you have Batmobile going crazy not a chance we will see them. :(

They'll probably do the 007 trick, where a civilan might have their car hit or have them fall, but when the camera turns to them we see them walking away. So a car could get totaled, or someone will flip over a car, and then have us see them just get up and limp away or something.

But what about literally putting the jet boost on and running over someone head on?

Watch the Arkham Knight end up being Joker.
I wish they leave Joker out of this and give other villains more spotlight. But I'm strongly convinced it's gonna be like you said. Gotham Knight vs. Arkham Knight.

I'm pretty sure I read that they'll just dodge the car and you have to leave the Batmobile if you want to take care of them, this way you don't spend the whole time in the car; and we'll also have chases/confrontations with thugs in their vehicles.

I think it was mentioned that enemies will try and jump out of its way, I guess it will slow down if we try to go and drive over people... :P

It's evacuated. They whole city is evacuated because of the Scarecrow's chemical weapons threat. Only the Cops are left behind to try and deal with the criminal gangs.

See it's like the curfew in Origins. They come up with a way to justify the city being empty.

Rule #1. The Doctor lies.

Exactly

"Dead, Dead, Dead, Dead."

Miranda Tate, Miranda Tate, Miranda Tate, Miranda Tate.

All of the villians coming together to finally eliminate their foe sounds like Quinns orchestration as an act of vengeance for Joker's death.

Arkham Knight being the son of the clown would be a new addition to the mythos as they stated in the video, this character will be.

The negative pregnancy tests don't explain the positive one.

Ha Simpsons hit and run style! Hopefully it looks real. Gaaah Im soo excited to drive the batmobile.

There are ways to get by that aspect. I mean hell Spider-man 2 the game came out 10 years ago and they were able to have a city full of people with the pretty basic technology of the time.

I don't need to run over people in the batmobile but I don't think it's much especially for a next-gen system to incorporate people on the streets.

Is a city with no people even really a city if you think about it? Having regular citizens around would just increase the epic feeling imo.

Now they need to come up with an explanation as to why it stays night for so long.

Remember the Cadmus references in the Harley DLC... imagine Arkham Knight as a result of Joker's mind being placed in the ultimate body, kind of a Batman clone...

Yeah. Looks like a good solution. I remember the game, it was probably old Driver game, where, whenever I tried to hit a civilian with the car, they always jumped away. It was just impossible.

It's not that they can't do it, it's that they don't want the player to run over civilians because Batman wouldn't do that. I don't remember Spider-man 2 having a jet powered car you could drive. Having the city evacuated due to threat of a city wide chemical attack is a pretty good reason if you ask me.

LOL imagine if they made a game where if its nighttime youre bats but if its day youre bruce! Driving around in the Lamborghini n such

I'm not against it. I just don't see them wasting time on making it look convincing. When it's an old engine, it's easy to make toons for citizens, but when it's a highly detailed game like AK, it will take just too much resources and time. GTAV had far less detailed graphics and it was made by giant of a company with hundreds of employes.
