Batman: Arkham Knight

Didn't really like Arkham knights story too much
the tank sections were tedious after awhile and a certain boss fight makes all the cool stuff in AO seem kinda pointless now.
Fighting is a lot better in this game compared to origins but in terms of story I'd say the series is probably at
Arkham Origins
Arkham Asylum
Arkham City
Arkham Knight

I kinda wish Batman got to fight people like Shiva and Bronze Tiger in all of the games

So did they pretty much just give up on boss fights in Knight? Because all I hear about is tank battles.

I was surprised by the Identity because I kept lying to myself that AK was Bruce Wayne's clone. It would have explained the childish attitude!

Bruce/Batman doesn't have a childish attitude like that, so how would it have explained a clone?

It's amazing how they wasted opportunities to have great boss fights and especially against the AK and Deathstroke :(

And Man Bat. He could have been a great fight, too.

I was fine with how we took down Man Bat but it should have been different fights each time instead of the same jumping on him and punching cut scene

Man-Bat fight could have been so awesome. i was expecting something similar to the fight against Firefly in Origins but that wasn't the case.

Origins gets a lot of unwarranted hate yet for me it's the most solid game story wise. and the boss battles were actually good.

A Man-Bat boss battle could've been done like the Firefly fight from origins. Im really curious why they didn't do any real boss fights. Would be nice at some point to hear their thoughts on some of the criticisms of the game.

It's a damn shame the criticism that AO gets, Some is understandable and some blind bias hate. I know of people who has never even played it for the simple fact that it was not developed by the mighty Rocksteady

Yeah it's a shame not enough people love or appreciate that game. It's really great.

My expectations towards this game get lower and lower and it's coming to the point where I almost don't want to play it.
I'm glad I didn't rush and got a system just to get the game. I'll probably get the complete edition when it's at a smaller price.

City is tied with Origins as my favourite. I prefer City's level design (especially its predator rooms. Origin's predator maps were simplistic compared to City's), sound, music, visuals (excluding character designs, though one of two are ok). Origins for me has the better character visualisations, boss battles and story, but its lack of innovation and blatant re-treading of old ground game play stings a little.

Knight has the best game play, but it needs more meat on its bones for its replay value to match the other two. Three months after release and there's still no sign of being able to play some of the most creative predator maps of the series in challenge mode.

So there was a popular fan theory that Amanda Waller and the Government had cloned Bruce Wayne aka Terry McGinnis, but you know it was a fast growth clone, so the body is of an adult but the attitude is of an child.

JasoN Todd acts like a brat the whole game.

Origins lack of innovation? It gave us a whole new crime scene detective mode. Which was awesome and Knight actually used it a bit as well.

Would be cool if WB Montreal was doing a suicide squad game especially after that after credits tease in Origins.

Yes, but as cool as that was, there was not much else introduced that didn't rely on minor tweaks to existing systems.

But at the same time, people really shouldn't have been expecting any major changes. It was towards the end of the old Gen cycle. And reasonably people should've realized it was gonna be basically like Asylum and City. And then a new Arkham after Origins (which was knight) would be the one with more major changes because of the upgrade in hardware with next gen systems.

Feel like people use that as another reason to hate on the game, meanwhile not sure what people expected.

There's also a few people like me, who consider a new feature length story, new set of missions, and new mini games and sub games to be worth the cost of a game.

To me, that's exactly what a successful sequel is, with other enhancements being bonuses.

Its funny how people appreciate certain things more when they get let down. I know a lot of people have been saying AO was the worst game of the series but now in retrospect after AK they know view it as one of the best.

and then he's forgiven even though he's helping scarecrow try and nuke the eastern seaboard?
I was expecting a deathstroke tier final battle with Jason before the game ended too but nope
I just can't believe how the writing went all over the place in this game. Sometimes popular stories don't need to be adapted especially if you are going to keep escalating the scale of the Batman games.

I think I like the DLC stories more than the actual main game now. Its a lot more simplistic and fun. I don't see Batgirl acting too OOC in a matter of family

No one acted out of character in the game. Jason has been, and always will be, a d-bag in the comics. There was no story with the DLC. At all. If any of them constitutes a story, then Mario 64 is KOTOR.

Jason was out of character. He has never ever tried anything as evil as to massacre the whole city because he's butt hurt at Batman. Deathstroke was out of character. Going after Batman in a tank is not his style. He's a fighter.

And as for Tim and Barbara being a couple.....

Origins was a damn good game. It simply lacked the polish of Rocksteady's efforts.

I even before Knight loved Origins and it was my favorite of those three. And yeah it seems now we've gotten a few more people on our side for Origins. I love the whole series and I did enjoy Knight a lot. Just not as much as some the others in the series.

well there was one boss fight if you count what takes place in a matter of the family DLC with bat girl. but it's a show down with the joker (yet again joker)and harley. which was made by WB Montreal

there's the coming night wing dlc that still has yet to be released and we need more details with cat woman's DLC which was just announce recently sofar that was the only boss fight it was Barbra's DLC
