Batman: Arkham Knight

I am surpised by how well the BvS suit was translated to the game. My guess is that Rocksteady got access to a high end 3D render by the movie production, otherwise I can't explain to myself how it ended up looking so accurate and good!

The only thing they sort of got wrong was the symbol. Affleck's has the same ridged material as the suit...the Arkham version has a smooth, almost leathery look to it.

Two DC Comics Games Coming From WB Games Montreal

Gimme that Arkham Origins sequel, but I seriously hope they change the Arkham formula up as it's starting to get a little stale.

The other one could be Suicide Squad, but I'd LOVE a Batman Beyond game with Conroy and Friedle.

over the summer, there were leaked images and rumblings about a Superman game.

so I'm hoping one of the 2 new DC games will be that.

I hope there isnt a tie-in game for Suicide Squad. I'm pretty much done with them games after TASM2.

I completely forgot about that proposed Superman game. I'd be all for that.

Plus, it would truly give WBGM the chance to get out from under Rocksteady's shadow.

A lot of folk, including myself, complained about Arkham Origins upon release...but I think over time and rightfully so, that we've realised it's much greater than originally given credit for. Not perfect, but it has gotten better and better on each playthrough IMO.
I think because it paled in comparison to City...and now with Knight not being the grand finale we were hoping, I have the sense that people want an Origins sequel to fill the holes Knight left.

I played it long after most have and loved it upon first playthrough, primarily bc i didnt have high expectations for it. The roster wasnt as interesting as the Rocksteady games but it was a solid entry. Bc I played it over a year later, any of those bugs initially reported were resolved so they were a nonissue for me. I still say its the second best Arkham game and it doesnt get nearly enough credit. Its like the "New Vegas" of the series

With that said a sequel to it? Why? Origins didnt feel too far from the continuity of Arkham Asylum and thats one thing that initially bothered me. A "sequel" would just feel more like a AA prequel and honestly Im done with the Batman games for now. They should put him on hold and focus on other characters, either in the Bat family or elsewhere in the DC universe.

That's sort of how I'm feel. Like I feel that Origins isn't bad. It's good but my biggest issue is a fair one: lack of innovation. There really isn't anything big from a gameplay point of view that WB Games Montreal had and I feel like that hurts. Arkham Asylum had Invisible Predator and Freeflow Combat. Arkham City had free-roam and gliding. Arkham Knight had Batmobile and Dual Play. Origins never really added anything new from a gameplay stance.

Still now I feel it is a great game. I love the characterizations in the game and the boss fights but there isn't as much replay value as the Rocksteady games.

IF WB Games Montreal was to do another Batman game, only one direction.

Batman and Robin game. As in them playable dual play style and co-op.

That gives you something fresh and new for the series. Have Batman & Robin team up throughout the entire game. Take the dual play concept, make an entire game using it.

But of course, do the Superman game first :woot:

I think there's still plenty of story to tap between Origins and Asylum, they could ditch the all in one night format the games have had and make Two-Face the main villain. A game that takes influence from Long Halloween would be pretty cool. A non-Batman property would be cool though.

An even bigger Gotham with multiple playable characters for story mode would definitely add some innovation I think. It's long over due.

I wouldn't mind it they dropped the Arkham and just went with Batman: Origins Whatever. I'm fairly sure everyone would still get it was tied to the series....

Right?

Call the game Batman & Robin: (insert title here)

Have the cover be this but with the Arkham Batman and Robin design.

Maybe if they do a Batmobile this time they won't make it annoying with tank battles etc. and let us use different models and skins the entire game, not just at the end after the fact.'

I'd be cool with "Batman & Robin: Origins" or Batman Beyond Arkham...

Enough with the f'n Arkham universe, I want WB Montreal to do their own original batman game! 2nd game will probably Suicide Squad but I much prefer Supeman or Justice League .

I'd rather have them make the setting of the game more diverse by taking Batman to completely different locations than just expanding Gotham and adding more characters. It'll get stale.

A multiple character and free roaming cast would be the biggest innovation for WB Montreal, considering Rocksteady left that on the drawing board. Imagine being able to play Disco-Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Catwoman alongside Batman from the word "go." And it would especially be awesome if they were integrated into the plot in greater ways then in even Arkham City.

Think something like this:

The game is set during a heat wave across three or four days, and features Jason Todd as Robin with Disco Nightwing as the big brother. Batman starts investigating one major villain, but the crime wave rises with the heat, so he has to organize a group effort to get the streets back unde control. So he assigns some tasks to Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing, while also employing Catwoman to help investigate or sabotage certain villains. Throughout the game, you can pick up side missions and interact with other members, and maybe even have some daytime missions (Catwoman especially could fit this setting, since she's not even a Batfamily member in the official sense.)

Disco Nightwing as in the original outfit? That would be great as an alternate skin but not the min one

If anybody is making a Superman game, it's Rocksteady.

And no Arkham Origins sequel please. The first game was awful and it's best we let that series end already. Don't make it COD or Assassins Creed.

The Arkham games arent an annual series so no, its not even close to those

I forgot about the massive anvils alluding to Suicide Squad in Origins. Yeah, Id be up for that as a spinoff. Timing it to launch with the movie seems like a genius marketing oppurtunity
