Batman: Arkham Knight

Going by the leaked trophies, [BLACKOUT]it takes place during the main game.[/BLACKOUT]
I thought this was a known thing.

Or maybe I'm just reading too many Arkham sites. At any rate, I'd have preferred it the other way.:ftc:

All the suits are great, but I do wish they get around to adding the knightfall batsuit, it looked great in Arkham Origins (even if it wasnt the best version of the suit)

that's so dumb

wonder what explanation will be given as to WHY this didn't occur during the main story mode in the first place

I doubt there will be an explanation, It'll probably just be like deleted scenes from a film's dvd

I wish theyd make DLC where Bane gets returned to his Origins faculties and resumes his conflict with batman...

Does anyone wish they had "invented" a tank mode for some of these classic batmobiles?

My kingdom for Origins style storytelling and boss fights mixed in with Rocksteady technical ability and gameplay..

Spoiler warning for those that haven't played these yet move on. Don't want to ruin it for you.

Well, They didn't Get Tim's first appearance of Robin costume right. It's supposed to be yellow on the inside, which I thought was a cool feature.

The Catwoman dlc is by far the most enjoyable "story" dlc we had so far.
Especially the dialogue is what makes it so good.
The banter between Catwoman and Riddler is very well written.

But again, like the other dlcs...it doesnt seem to be AFTER the main story.
Its as if nobody cares about batman or what happened.
The main story is what hurts every dlc.

The batmobiles are very detailed and it makes fun to drive...for 5 minutes.
Then there is nothing to it since they dont have a battle mode and cant be used for the main game.

The "story" dlcs dont tell us anything about what happened after the (IMO)awful ending of the game.

I thought I read somewhere months ago that many of the story dlc were supposed to take take place after the story. So far only Red Hood's does right?

They all do apart from Batgirl and Harley.

So they take place after but nobody references batman and the events of the ending?

Picked this up again last night at Best Buy for $25...hopefully I enjoy it more this time.

Kinda. Tim and Barbara talk about [BLACKOUT]their wedding and that they should be on their honeymoon,[/BLACKOUT] but that's about it. In Nightwing's [BLACKOUT]he says something about the damaged Batsignal to Lucius.[/BLACKOUT] In Catwoman's, it's just that [BLACKOUT]Riddler got arrested at the end of the game.[/BLACKOUT]

It's almost like Qui Gon getting zero mention in the old Star Wars films even though he existed in the prequels!

Also the little tease about [BLACKOUT]Cash telling Nightwing he should be the new Batman[/BLACKOUT].

I mean, what exactly is it that people are expecting to be referenced about the ending of the game? It seems pretty straight-forward to me:
to the general public Wayne Manor exploded with Bruce Wayne/Batman inside, but he, or someone who has taken on the mantle still operates as Batman. Are people just wanting an explicit yes or no to whether Bruce died? I don't think it really matters

is it short like the others?

From what I've seen online, it's about 15 or 20 minutes long. :csad:

^ This is why I've stopped downloading them. Waste of space and no replay value for me. Way too short.

I played the Robin, Catwoman, and Nightwing DLCs. For $2, it's fair enough: I acquired a half hour of gameplayfrom each of them, which evens out, as I usually pay $2 for a half hour episode of one of my shows. But, man, the story and gameplay is minimal: the recycled the Arkham City Vault mission for the Catwoman mission, and Robin's interesting, because of the nugget
from the one thug saying that the "Ghost" has been neutralizing criminals.

I could never get past the Arkham Knight Cloudburst tank battle. After dying too many times, I finally gave up and went back to Borderlands 2. :woot:
Once you figure out you just have to treat it like a regular drone tank, it's easy. But if you're trying to sneak around it like the other boss tanks, you're in for some frustration, because you literally can't beat it that way, lol.

Sounds like Rocksteady continues to translate the phrase "story DLC" as "regular challenge maps with minimal window dressing of characterization and dialogue."

I'm not entirely against them being economics, but would it kill them to get a little ambitious with the story part?

They can't afford it since they need to scrape as much profit they can from all the costs they had to endure from the PC port failure.

Which is why i'm positive we're going to see a second season pass in their vain attempt to get more money out of this. :p Or they scrapped Season Pass content like Prometheus out.
