*looks at comparison images*

I'll be sticking with the originals.

That was a huge face palm moment. Even if Talia's dead body had not been there, Batman wouldn't tenderly lay Joker's body (dead or alive) down anywhere. He'd throw him in the trash;

I just have to say that I absolutely love how these pictures are drawn and colored.

In light of these images I don't feel so disappointed now that Origins didn't get this treatment.

Was just going to mention the same thing for the Origins fans.

There's definitely some work that went into improving things. I'd love to compare the actual gameplay together, but this was one of the shots that stood out to me in terms of the added effects.

Here's the PS3 version:

And here's the PS4 version:

Yeah, I don't know. Again, I liked the dark, gloominess it had before. Also notice the Batmobiles headlight creates a glare in the original.

However, I do love the fact that Asylum has now had rain added too it.

The older images look better. I don't mind though, I am just happy they are being re-released on the PS4. I don't have a PS3 anymore and while I heard a lot about the previous 3 Arkham games, I never actually played them.

I think the more stylistic designs from the older Arkham games have a weird affect of being hard to properly graphically update without getting the schizophrenic affect you guys are noting where sometimes it looks worse than the older engine. The remasters seem to be keeping most of the exaggerated features of the older games instead of reconstructing the characters as Arkham Knight did.

All four Arkham games have a style and flair in character and world design that may just not translate that well if they try to adapt it to another engine while retaining the style. Asylum introduced the OTT designs Forst, but with a stronger Burton flair, while City I think found a way to add a bit more Schumacher-garish aesthetic without it looking weird, Origins went for a harder noir-throwback look, and Knight was a bit more Nolan-ized.

The biggest problem I have with the remastered versions so far is what they've done with the hair on the characters, in the old games it actually looks like hair, instead of the remasters where it just looks awful (great example being Strange's eyebrows.

Still might pick it up as I'd love to play through them again, been way to long.

It looks like comparison of pre-rendered scenes from originals and real-time from remasters.

Well as so one who never played them I look forward to the new versions coming out. Is the sequel the one with Deathstroke in? I remember seeing the trailer for that and for the first time in a long time wishing I had a console again.

Having since bought a PS4 I will be getting the remastered versions.

Yeah, there definitely seems to be improvements in many areas with the remaster. My biggest issue is that most things look overly saturated, and the contrast seems to be boosted, which makes things look darker than they should in many cases, which eliminates any detail that was added.

I really like that the world doesn't have the green tint when you're outside, but indoors, the colorful look it has doesn't work.

Deathstroke was only featured in Arkham: Origins, I believe. That is the game that is not included in the package.

I don't necessarily disagree with you guys, but it's probably worth noting that image is actually a fake Batman. It's from a story about three ex-cops who are Batman imposters. On the page right before that, a second fake Batman shots Joker in the face.

It's a fake Batman who shoots the Joker, but the real one who throws him in the trash.

So who is doing the remasters of these games for the newest consoles? Because they seemed to have done a **** job on the designs and graphics.

Maybe they should have handed the job to Bluepoint Games.

Hugo and Penguin look a little better here.

Nah, there was too many leaks and rumors out there. This remaster deal was pretty much a sure thing, it was just a matter of when.

Bluepoint Games is a great remaster company, but the problem is that they probably come at a premium price, too. Unfortunately, a lot of companies aren't willing to put the amount of money into this remasters and are willing to settle for cheaper alternatives.
