Shadow is a little too thick but thats awsome:up:

Yes, JKKS, you should feather the edges of the shadow, lower the opacity a bit and exaggerate the angle.

He's awesome but a little too constantine-ish but who cares!

where exactly are you getting these pics of batman? They look as though they are quite large. I can never seen to find good pics of him that large to work with

I took the original photo of that japanese flick with the hooded guy and I pumped out this. If you use it, credit it me please.

[edit]Why I thought the last manip of that picture wasn't great. It was too Nicholson, and that's what we're trying to avoid. It was too fat around the face. With this, you can see his flamboyantly creepy side. I think we should stick to the color scheme, but have the colors muted, dark red, pale off white, and dark green. perhaps a dark purple for a jacket. I don't want another Nicholson, not even in the looks department.

Joker By Matt Erman

They better change Batman's cowl in the sequel, it was way too think and heavy around the jaws

Very quick and hardly refined, but here's what I'd like to see for the new suit. It plays off the last one, outlining the major muscle areas, but it less "techy." Also, made the crest on the chest match the batarangs. I hate the inconsistant logos in the first flick.

Forgive the quality. Was done hastily in Adobe Illustrator.

Look, I prefer the Ed Harris look from History of Violence. An overly scared, oozing, bloody face is not something they'll put in this film, they still need the young child audience and it'll be a PG film. The manips in this thread are so well done, they make me feel a little sick just looking at them. I don't think WB will want kids seeing that.

A bit of facial scarring and a white/bloody eye is pretty much what I would prefer. They could write it in a great where where Dent is not actually that badly scared - he could even be helped by surgery, but his extraordinary ego pushes him to the point were he makes the choice to become Two-Face. Somewhat like the Byrne revised Dr. Doom story where he wasn't actually so disfigured, but his imagination and vanity pushes him over the edge.

We already have rumors of the new Joker not having a permanent smile. This wouldn't be a stretch in a more realistic Batman universe.

ah heem at minumum it will proably be a HARD PG-13.

Are you kidding about the quality, man? That looks amazing to me. And I agree about the different batsymbols. That kinda bugged me too.

^Nice work:up:

so here's one I did yesterday, I think it is by far, one of the best Bettany manips I've done and shows how easily it would be to make him a truely frightening joker.

very nice D.A! That looks freaking scary. I like the kinda dirty look to the white face, so he doesn't look 'made-up'.
