It is obviously pictorial art. Pictorial art is generally an abstract representation of physical matter and forms. Thus, it is not difficult to understand the corrolation between the drawing that I posted and its potential counterpart in the material world.

For those that like the idea of a grey body suit with black elements, this is my current Chest scupture.
It's been sprayed with grey primer. The grey is only the color of the primer and not intended to be a grey color per say, but someone photoshopped the chest logo black and I thought it looked really cool. The belt is the toy belt, as you can see it's much too small but...you get the idea of what a grey suit with black areas may or could look like.

Personally, if the grey is dark, with proper weathering I think it could look cool.

Personally, if the grey is dark, with proper weathering I think it could look cool.

I believe with absolute certainty that the Batsuit—film version or comic—looks better when the logo is clearly discernable. Having said that, I think this shade of gray is too light, at least for the Begins suit, which should only be so light as to allow the black elements, especially the logo, to stand out in clear contrast... BlackGray.

BTW: Nice sculpt David.
