    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

Batman Beyond?

as much as i would love to see a Batman Beyond film, i don't think it would be smart of WB to go through with it if they in fact want to have a shared DC Universe which will eventually lead to a Justice League film

they should probably wait until after they do a Batman reboot with Bruce Wayne and all, and then have Batman Beyond be a spin-off of sorts that can be connected to the upcoming DC films

I love the Batman Beyond series, so I'm all for it. I'm all for giving Bruce Wayne a bit of a break in the Bat movies and just have a young Bruce Wayne for Justlice League.

It's unique, and with the right director it could be something incredible. Terry McGinnis has his own great set of rogues like Blight, Inque, Earth Mover, Payback, and spellbinder, and even lower good groups of villains like the Jokerz and the splicers. Batman Beyond is a pretty rich universe in its own right that you can build a franchise around.

I like the idea of Bruce Wayne in the JL movies only and any other Batman movies that follow on will have Terry/other new guy being the new Batman or if we want to keep it in the present rather than having stories set in the far future, what if the new movies could feature Nightwing/general Bat family as the protagonist(s) with Batman still as a main character but as a mentor/leader figure?

Basically what I'm saying is, if we want to keep it in the present, Batman could get out there and do his thing in JL but in any other follow-up Batman movies, using Power Rangers as an analogy(I hope everyone here knows Power Rangers lol) Batman/Bruce Wayne=Zordon/Alpha and Nightwing/Batgirl/Robin=The Power Rangers or Batman/Bruce Wayne=A General and Nightwing/Batgirl/Robin=Soldiers in his army, if you don't get it.

A break from Bruce would serve all parties well so I would love a Batman Beyond movie.

Ehh...I'm not done with Bruce Wayne yet. And I don't really want to see a future Batman. I'd rather they rebooted a more fantastical Batman who could be a part of the Justice League.

Never really cared for Batman Beyond, if anything I'd prefer a 40's set noir with Poison Ivy as a femme fatale with a focus on Batman as The World's Greatest Detective. This'll never happen though, I'd rather they establish a 'classic' Batman to fit in with Justice League. Then a few years down the line, maybe go for Batman Beyond.

I sincerelly never really thought a Batman film should be set in the 40s, i think Superman or Wonder Woman could would work very well there, but not really Batman, i think he's a more interesting character in the present.

I like Batman Beyond but i'm not particularly excited by the prospect of a live-action adaptation.

I rather have a Batman Beyond video game first.

Now, this would be good. Especially if this is what Rocksteady have been working on. I like the concept of Batman Beyond, but not the execution.

Agreed! We need to show a Batman that is quite capable of going toe to toe with Metahumans/Superhumans. I say make the villains either Deathstroke, Solomon Grundy, Poison Ivy or Killer Croc.

I love the idea. You can market it as its own thing without saying anything about its connection to the Nolan trilogy, or lack thereof. Intentionally leaving the story of how this Gotham came to be a bit of a mystery that we will love to watch unfold.

That was the major appeal of the show and the comic, uncovering how the events we are watching came to be in the first place, what happened to Bruce, Who is the new commissioner and how did Gordon retire, etc.

Plus, it allows Bruces place in the Justice League to stand alone from both the Dark Knight trilogy and Beyond, because they are completely distant timelines. People will analyze the hell out of it looking for pieces to make up the story, and then when your out of Beyond material, you can go backwards and show us a Bruce mid career.

Lastly, the Bruce from Beyond was the Batman who stood toe to toe with the Justice League, so flashbacks would showcase that this Batman was differnt from Nolans.
I think its a really good reboot concept. Start with the end of Bruces timeline and work backwards.

Im liking this idea. Clint Eastwood is a bit far fetched of an idea right now. But I think Peter Weller would be a great choice.

Also, it doesn't have to be exactly like the show. There can be classic rogues. I mean, we DID see Freeze, Joker and Harley in the show. So if they want to do flashbacks of a young Bruce battling his classic enemies then cool. Or if they don't...I think Mr. Freeze could make for a good Batman Beyond villain, with all his tech and all. It also gives older Bruce a chance to try to figure out this Victor guy.

Then there's aging villains. I have this idea of casting Mark Hamill in a cameo spot as the Joker who is in his 60s. I think this would work because Hamill is about to make his grand return in the new Star Wars. His appearance could have this older Joker locked in Arkham still.

And even a couple of scenes with a Penguin who is around 70ish, either in Arkham (never liked that idea since he's not crazy) or my personal favorite would be having Oswald still on the streets, running Iceberg Lounge. I would cast David Suchet for this role.

Everybody else can be Blight or whatever traditional Beyond villain they want to use.

I hope to God that this is just a bullsh** rumor.

F*** Batman Beyond. The only Batman that I ever want to see on the big screen is Bruce Wayne. Not some emo punk kid from the future who apparently has access to Tony Stark's arsenal.

**** Batman Beyond? It's cool as hell and would be a fresh thing for this franchise.

But I do think it would sad not getting full movies with a new Alfred and Gordon.

Sorry, I've always thought it was crap. Two reasons I've never completely liked the DC Animated Universe: it gave us Batman Beyond and Harley Quinn.

Batman Beyond and Harley Quinn (especially her) are the 2 reasons why I love the DC animated universe even more. Harley is amazing.

Sounds like WB is just throwing different ideas out there to see what sticks. I doubt they will actually make a Beyond movie at this point.

you can't have Justice League without Bruce Wayne

so that's why i think it would be a better idea to start off the new Batman series with Bruce Wayne as Batman and after 1 or 2 films then have a Batman Beyond spinoff
