Batman|Bruce Wayne/Affleck is in Suicide Squad!

Do you guys think Batman will play a role in the capacity (or possibly even smaller) that he did in Assault on Arkham or will this be completely Batman free (aside from a few references and Joker/Harley)?

I'm not sure. I think it would be epic if they did Assault on Arkham on big screen, or something similar. Maybe they'll put Nightwing in?

With the notion Batman has been an underground entity up until the events of TDKR and presumably how Joker already has a history with Bats, I can't think of a better cap to Suicide Squad than a variation of this classic scene:

I don't think Joker would be catatonic at any point, but this would be a great way to build hype and tease the future of their rivalry. This film is only a couple months after BvS. I'm sure there will be several events that would publicize Batman's presence to the world. Perhaps one of these can make its way to Joker and reinvigorate his return to crime.

How cool would seeing that be? The chatter would be even greater than Batman Begins' ending, because we actually know how dangerous and exciting Leto's Joker can be.

I don't think he'll appear, but will probably be mentioned, especially since there's so many characters for which it would feel natural to mention him - Joker, Harley, Deadshot and even Waller.

I'd actually like the most if he'd appear in Joker's dream/memory. They could make a great twisted imagery, considering that it's seen from Joker's eyes (similarly to how he sees Batman in Arkham Origins, though it doesn't have to be the case with Batman, but the environment could seem dark and twisted) and it would also show how much he's obsessed with Batman and is thinking about him regularly.

I don't think so. Putting Batman and the Joker together is too big of deal in these movies just for some cameo.

I actually hope there won't be any post-credits scenes in these movies, I was never a fan of that. I firmly believe that film should last from the opening credits to the closing ones, simple as that.

Besides, Nolan did tell Snyder when he asked him about the inclusion of the post-credits scene in MOS that "a real movie doesn't do that sort of thing". I expect Snyder to follow his advice in the future.

would be cool to have a cameo by Ben Affleck

lets say Waller does want Joker on the team. have a scene in the beginning with Waller at Arkham trying to enroll Joker and have Batman there trying to stop it. Batman & Waller go at it having him warn Waller about the Joker and that if he does join her team then she will regret that decision.

I don't think he'll be in it. I think they'll stick with the Suicide Squad's mission/missions and at the end after they accomplish the mission and are back to being locked up Waller will hint at/announce their next mission...

They really should avoid doing end credits scenes just for the sake of people not being able to claim that DC is just copying off of Marvel.

I don't know if WB is down for the post credit scene gig but having Affleck cameo in some capacity would be awesome. Maybe at the very beginning or end.
