Following Bale with that guy would be the least exciting thing in the world.

Sorry you feel that way, Bale wasnt the end all be all when it comes to Batman though.

No but he's still the greatest Bruce Wayne thus far. Hoechlin is too young and I cant see his Wayne coming close to Bale's. They need an older or more established actor like Hamm, Brolin, Armitage. Ill take Bentley or Gosling over this Hoechlin guy any day of the week.

I think Christian Bale would be perfect!

Are we sure he can't come back...

Bentley is my top choice, personally. I like Armitage though. I'm not to picky, I'm sure they'll pick someone good.

I don't see why we need an older Bruce. Hamm, Brolin and Armitage are fine actors but I just don't see a reason to go older. I too would like to have Bale back but I'm not counting on it. I also don't think you need a HUGE name for Batman/Bruce, not if he is gonna be the new Batman. While I loved Bale in the role I don't think he was the best Bruce, I give that too Kilmer, I think this Batman needs to be younger but I think we are way far apart on this. I just like Hoechlins look and feel he could pull it off.

Sorry for the bad grammar, on my phone, hope I made sense. Oh and no to Gosling, I'm ambivalent on Bently.

I prefer Bentley to Armitage. Not feeling him at all.

Yeah i don't feel that Armitage thing at all too my second choice is the guy from 300 rise of an empire Sullivan Stapleton i hate elitism i want someone with talent not too famous. Some people are just too shallow. I hate elitism and i hate favoritism some people thing it's a thing of elitism. Bale has played little role with little budget before becoming Batman he has played in the machinist and in equilibrium and equilibrium bombed at the box office. Michael keaton played little role before becoming Batman. The best batman have played in little role before Batman.

I agree on the younger batman but tyler is just too young imo. And his acting skills are pretty mediocre.

Come on, Latino Review. We need more rumors to chew on - give us something!

Batman should not be over 35 in the movie or in real-life. In "Batman: Year One" continuity, Bruce wayne started out at 25 as the Bat. Start there and a Batman under 35 could have MORE than enough experience in that situation. Forget the Nolan movies and start over without a new origin series. I wish all those great actors (Hamm, Armitage, etc) above 35 could be ruled out automatically.

Even Scott Adkins, who I actually think would do fine with good material, gets the axe in that equation. LOL.

If we want to "stick to the source material", Bruce and Clark have always been portayed as near the same age, so I hope WB does the same.

Nicholas Hoult! :awesome:

One of the many reasons why Wes is perfect. Guy's 5 years older than Cavill. Well, he's 34 now but he's turning 35 next month.

If we're going with guys around Cavills age then witwer is still my pick. He's only like 36.

Bentley creeps kinda creeps me out.
I really like that about him. But as Bruce he could come off warm and likeable while still keeping that "gothic" look. As Batman he'd have that natural creepiness in spades. And he seems like he can play "crazy" well to me. The guy's also dealt with things like addiction in the past, so he could convey a similar "hunger" through Bruce's need to be Batman.

I prefer Bentley to Armitage. Not feeling him at all.

Yeah, not getting this Armitage love for the role.

Why is Karl Urban's name hanging around when I suggested Pine for the role and you guys shot that down because he has to do Star Trek? I get Urban did Dredd, but he won't be able to do this because of Star Trek too then.

I didn't like that idea at first but I'm definitely warming up to it. I just want to see Batman actually doing Batmanesque ***** like fluid martial arts and Sherlock Holmes detective work... but mostly the fighting. Bentley could do Wayne for sure, I just need a stunt double to quench my action thirst.

To be honest I think Bentley would be good and I think I've never see him play a hero role before....all I've seen him in was all these awkward and weird roles...with the exception of GR....he wasn't intimidating at all to me in that...lol

I think Chris Pine was shot down for being totally wrong for the role, rather than because of any scheduling conflicts.

I'm still going with Paul Rudd... Just to see if CBM will make an article or include his name in a list of actors in a Batman casting article.

I like Witwer's build and he has a good look about him but I'm not familiar with his work and I can't figure out what the heck is up with that smirking thing he does in almost every pic!

If WB does this right only the choice of Batman will do the rest, if they avoid too much backlash the project will succeed and will be extremely profitable.

I don't think he's wrong for the role.
