I think a possible issue with Hartnett back then was the stigma of playing a superhero compared to now. Now that there's so many of them, there isn't an issue of fearing for type casting or anything like that. You just do them, make some money, use it as a stepping stone to get other roles that you find interesting or allow you to make even more money.

that's a good point. a lot of people, including heath, were against them.. then begins changed everything.

There is a dilemma, whether Bruce Wayne became Batman by the death of his parents or he became batman by the event of metroplis. The older batman is the logical choice i can't see Bruce Wayne become Batman after the event of metropolis it doesn't make sense. I can't see either the origin story of batman retold in a Superman movie that's ridiculous.

Bruce becomes Batman independently of Superman, but he is more comfortable being a slightly more public figure around the world rather than just an urban legend with Gotham.

I like the idea of Batman cooperating with Luthor against Superman, but also using his knowledge to try to bring him down when he finds out the truth.

I really want to see the expression of Batman's face when he realizes he was wrong.

I just watched that movie the other day. I did enjoy him in it. And he's quite talented. I can't wait to see what he does with the character.

Ehm....this kind of gets a big "meh" from me. But if anything it just goes to show that there are no "unknowns", hollywood is now only as limited as we message board speculators are with our casting pool. (or perhaps they always were but there's less secrecy cuz of intenrnet? )
