There are A LOT of us waiting on Star Wars news as well. Anything other than those 2, and it'll be a let down. I'm always wary of Eh Maybe's "scoops", though.

I love Lex but I think SW announcement would be bigger right now.

If it's Batman, I'm going to enjoy watching the **** hit the fan

I'm almost certain that the scoop will be a Star Wars announcement.

He tweeted less than an hour before the "BIG GAME HUNTER" tweet that the next SW scoop wouldn't be about Force Ghosts, giving a wink.

Yep, I think it's about Star Wars.

Imagine a site run by genre fans who had genuine insider sources, and who simply posted bona fide news that they had heard, rather than vaguely hinting and teasing conjecture.

Nice.

Comic Book Movie? :woot::p

But he doesnt say it isnt about Batman because he wants the Batfans to visit his site too.

Good actor, good age and great height for the part. Has a voice that could work. Much better than most of the candidates in their early 30's being mentioned here.

I wouldn't be shocked if his name popped up eventually.

If I'm not mistaken, he was up for a role in the previously planned Batman/Superman film.

However, I can't remember if it was Batman, Superman, or both.

EDIT: It was Superman, opposite Bale's Batman.

He allegedly turned down Superman several times back in the days of McG, Ratner and Wolfgang Peterson. And he's far from washed up. He's been pretty choosey with projects. I'm actually watching a film he did 'Resurrecting The Champ' he did with Samuel L. Jackson right now, made me think of him. It's pretty good.

Oh, thats Hartnett.
I didnt recognize him .

I think he is a good actor. He is brilliant in Lucky Number Slevin, an incredibly underrated film IMO.

I actually agree, Hartnett could probably pleasantly surprise me in terms of bringing another version of Bruce truly to life. I need to rewatch Lucky Number Slevin, only saw it once, but I really loved it.

I think Hartnett could do surprisingly well in the role. Left field choice but I wouldn't hate it.

All aboard the Hartnett Express!

Next stop, Man of Steel 2!

I have a feeling Hartnett wouldn't be interested.

He doesn't seem too busy these days. Maybe this could be a minor "comeback".

The Hartnett Express has just sped past the Hammwagon.

Possibly. But he was getting offered those parts back when superhero films were mostly terrible. Affleck has even spoken about how it's a diffferent playing field now with the properties since Nolan.

I don't mind Hartnett but really? He's a has been and I don't think he has what it takes to be Batman. There's way better choices out there.

I would argue that Donner, followed by Singer added prestige to the genre (as a film genre, Donner basically invented it), though Nolan was the most realized, and created, in some ways, the definitive origin story.

But it's all stepping stones to me. I think that the TDK trilogy can be topped, but it would take someone who understands the comic genre almost as much as he understands good filmmaking. It'd be hard to find both, though Del Toro comes to mind.
