He doesn't seem too busy these days. Maybe this could be a minor "comeback".

The Hartnett Express has just sped past the Hammwagon.

Possibly. But he was getting offered those parts back when superhero films were mostly terrible. Affleck has even spoken about how it's a diffferent playing field now with the properties since Nolan.

I'm just talking about the types of films he's interested in doing in general. The way he tells it, it sounds like what was expected from his career didn't synch with his interests and essentially hurt his career in terms of what you would've expected from someone in his position years ago. But, maybe his opinion has changed, maybe not. Who really knows other than him?

hartnett's another name people forget because he doesn't seem all that interested in acting. he's been in 4 films the in last 4 years. according to imdb he's got one slated to come out this year, one next year he's got a new show on showtime coming out next year. when he was younger and had shorter hair dude was a dead ringer for lloyd christmas. he's older now and i do like his look. I'd say he's near the top of the younger bats pile. better then wes Bentley anyway.
:o:woo:ss: :oldrazz:

Hartnett wouldnt be bad at all.
But, the chances of him being asked are very slim.

I think Henry Cavill would make a great Batman. If you've never heard of him, he was in Tudors and Immortals. He's 6'1 and 30 years old. I think he looks perfect for the role, and would look great next to Christian Bale's Superman.

I agree with you. Depp went through something similar for a long time before doing Pirates. It's been awhile and it would be a very different scenario knocking on his door nearly ten years on. Most of the Bonds turned down the part at a young age only to accept it years later. Moore, Dalton and Brosnan all got a second bite of the cherry. Then there's a certain Mr. Cavill with a similar story too.

I can't comment on the Bond actors since I haven't followed how casting went with those films. But, I don't see Cavill's story as similar to Hartnett's if that's what you're saying. Cavill seems to be like your average actor who's actively seeking out roles as opposed to be very picky.

Where've you been the last two years or so? :o

they've had different career trajectories that's for sure. cavill's been pretty unlucky while they've tried to make josh the next great leading man but he wasn't having any of that.

I think this is an interdimensional traveler on a Parallel Universe. In this universe, the MOS series arrived before Batman Begins, with Bale as Superman. Obviously, Batman hasn't been casted yet, so he/she/it speculates on who would be a good actor for the role. WF is actually a sequel to MOS2, and and the Batman and Robin trilogy has drawn to a close, desperately needing a close. In this world, B+R is a masterpiece with great performances, action, and a serious tone. :D

Regardless of the text of the post, I think it's fair to say that we should all take just a moment to enjoy the scenery provided to us. :atp:

Absolutely.

I'm saying Josh looks more like Kilmer of today though :o

Yep. It's like when you read James Franco's review of MOS, it sounds like something that wouldn't be said about Hartnett.

The Playlist had an interesting write-up about Harnett and other actors...

Yeah, I can't see Josh as Batman at all. He's one of the worst choices I've seen mentioned in this thread so far.

First the Brollin Bandwagon, then the Hamm Bandwagon, followed shortly by the Crudup Bandwagon, while BatHamm Returned afterward, followed by the Armitage BandWagon, followed by the Bently Bandwagon, with the Hartlett hype coming in afterwards.

And Maluka was a one-person Bomer bandwagon ;)

Does that recap everything?

Here's my policy.

If you go for Wes Bentley, then just go for Jake G.

If you go for Hartnett, then just go for Ryan Gosling.

If you want Anson Mount, might as well get Jon Hamm.

If you want Luke Evans, then you might as well go for Adam West :o

Still room on the Hartnett Express for those wishing to get on.

Rumors flying on twitter that Benedict Cumberbatch dropped out of Crimson Peak today because he got cast as the Bat.
