And at last he's seen the light! :awesome:

I LOVE that Film!

Odd. I think he could pull off Batman but not sure about Bruce Wayne. Anyways on twitter and some websites supposedly Snyder has met with him about a role and speculation is that it is for Batman. However if such a meeting took place it could have been for any role. Lex, Brainiac, Metallo, etc... would seem as likely as him playing Batman. meh. http://www.kpopstarz.com/articles/38408/20130820/batman-vs-superman-cast.htm Not saying I believe this site, as it also suggests Ben Affleck will consider playing Batman. I just don't believe it since he's doing well directing and we all know how Daredevil turned out with him as the lead. I'm sure he has reservations about playing a superhero again.

Really? Ethan was just a random thought because I found my beloved and very, very old VHS copy of Dead Poets Society, and it made me think of Hamlet, and then I thought how cool it'd be if he was Batman.

My first major crush on a male celebrity. :hrt::hrt::hrt:

That El Maybe guy basically just trolls people and yet people fall for it every time.

And what is the big deal to fans about a scoop, you find out an hour later or a month later or a week later! What ****ing difference does it make.

I've said before that I like Jon Hamm for an older Batman. But I'm starting to think that this guy would be okay too.

Gabriel Macht (41 years old, 6'0)

Macht is almost the same age as Hamm (10 months difference). But he's an actor who looks younger than his actual age and could play the role for a long time.

On the show Suits, he's sort of a Bruce Wayne type and in The Spirit, he was sort of Batman like.

So if Frank Miller (who directed him in The Spirit) meets with Zack Snyder and they discuss a possible Batman actor, maybe his name may come up.

I'd love it if Macht were Batman. I think he'd be great.

LOL oh good ****ing lord. Rocket Raccoon? Are you serious? How is that something everyone's been waiting for? UGHHHH.

Well, I had no idea that movie even existed until 5 minutes ago.

Have to confess, I hadn't heard of it, either. So, an actor I don't care about may or may not be involved with a film I didn't know existed.

Now let nobody ever take him seriously again.

This. Except we will now enter the Bermuda Triangle again, and it will be as if this never happened.

Yep.

I suppose we like to speculate about what upcoming movies may be like, so when the news is apparently there, people want it.

I admit this is a re-post but I reckon it's worth a go,
maybe Nolan will see it and jump on board ! So......

Come on people, get with me on this one. The new Batman should be
GERARD BUTLER.

- he can do suave (Phantom of the Opera), he can do badass (300,
Coriolanus) , he can get pumped up enough to stand next to Cavill and not look like Superman's little sister.

And best of all, the growly voice. Imagine him growling
" Madness? THIS IS GO-THAM!" as he kicks the Joker off a rooftop.
(which in itself would be worth a movie !)

I know I sound like I'm taking the piss, but I actually mean it.
Butler is the best choice for Batman (especially if there's a bit
where Bats has to put the smackdown on Superman, you want
somebody who you actually believe could do it, and that's Butler).

No disrespect to Jon Hamm fans, but Butler's left pinky is more
badass than Hamm-on-steroids-carrying-a-minigun-riding a harley
without a helmet.

So please people, vote Gerard Butler for Batman !

( yes, his American Accents aren't great, but that's what dialect
coaches are for. Come on people vote GB)

If any of you dudes out there with mad photoshop / manipulation skills
create a graphic for Butler as Batman (like the Karl Urban as Judge Batman photo) you are a ****ing LEGEND, and earn my eternal respect.
becuz we really need a graphic to sell this idea.

BTW somebody did that, whoever they are, Legendary effort man.

Peace !

Count me as a fan. He has lifelong cool points because of his performance in 300.

Here's a manip I did of my first choice for the role...I'm gonna try to do a better one, maybe full body with the kind of suit I'd like to see. But until then anybody wanna guess who it is?

I'm **** with faces, but is that Karl Urban? He'd be a great choice,
loved him as Dredd. You can just see it "Judge Batman"

I reckon Urban would be a good choice (although as a New Zealander
I would say that).

Peace.

Karl Urban? It's hard to tell, because his nose is his most distinctive feature.

Edit: Snap.

cowl urban. ima stop now :woot:

(it will be interesting how they adopt the cowl though, to fit with the facial contours of the actor they end up casting)

"Welp"? I can never tell whether that's a typo.

Who wants to see Judge Batman anyways?

Be more imaginative people.

It's like wanting Peter Weller to play Metallo because you know he's good at playing a cyborg.

Or Chris Hemsworth to play He-Man because he is good at playing Thor.

There is some truth in that, but I suppose Urban's Bruce would be a massively unknown quantity.

I've liked Urban since seeing him in Xena. Granted he wasn't great in that, but he's definitely grown and improved as an actor over the years.

He was brilliant as Dredd.

But he was too much like Bale's Batman. I think that's why people want him.
And that's a reason why others don't.

Sure he could possibly play Batman, but I would find the pick unimaginative and uninspiring. Besides, I'm not sure how he would handle playing Bruce. Playing Ceaser in Xena, he ccouldn't pull if charming and sophisticated. He tried obviously, but it was like a boy doing it. Couldn't do it.

But like I said he's improved, but the point is, we need someone more inspiring.

Jon Hamm would've been great. Now he's an actor with multilayers, and while I've never seen him attempt a role like Batman that Urban has, I'm 100% confident he could pull it off Iif he went for it.

I like Urban for Bats. Doesn't matter if his Dredd was like Bale's Batman....nobody saw Dredd. ;)
