Then who's vice president, Jerry Lewis?![]()
Whatever happened to Del Toro's Mountains of Madness? I was looking forward to that.
Jane Fonda plays Nancy ReaganI suppose Jane Wyman is the first lady.
yeah , Del Toro almost got Tom Cruise for the lead role in that .Universal wasn't really willing to put that much money in such a high risk R rated horror film so they canned it. I'm sure there are other factors that we don't know about, but that's the gist of it.
It's why he jumped to Pacific Rim instead.

Snyder always wants his leading men to be extremely muscular.Snyder, unlike Nolan, will likely want a moderately muscular Batman though.
Thanks for this quote. Now im of the belief that the new Batman will have to train like a mofo.Snyder always wants his leading men to be extremely muscular.
This is what he had to say about Superman.
My taste level goes to the more muscular Superman. The bigger, more muscular Superman, the way Jim draws him.

I like designing male icons I guess that's how it is - fitness icons - that's the real goal. No it's true and I guess I bring it on myself a little bit (to design these icons). It was really important from the beginning. I told Henry, "Listen, you are gonna be wearing this skin tight suit and I want you to look like... you know... a freak... like you should be in crazy shape." And he really said he embraced the concept a 100% because (of) you know the idea that you see the suit and you can see his body underneath it and you think "Oh that's gotta be a rubber suit, right?". (So) then I really wanted to include a scene where he had no shirt on so that you could say, "Wait a minute, that is what's under there".
I think he will similarly set the bar high for the actor who gets cast as Batman to have an insane physique. So the actor cast should be able to muscle up to the extent Snyder wants.

Then if this is how Snyder will want Batman, Joe Manganiello would "set the bar" .... with heavy weights and bench at his maximum.Snyder always wants his leading men to be extremely muscular.

He definitely will. I would blindly do a role in a Snyder film because that means I get to be in the most amazing shape of my life. Now im of the belief that the new Batman will have to train like a mofo.
He won't cast based on physique but he will keep it in my mind. Its the preference he has for the look but obviously there are a multitude of other factors that he will consider. Plus he has the most amazing trainers in the world (Gym Jones) as his best friends literally. So if the actor cast has potential, Snyder will definitely see to it that he gets in awesome shape. It scares me though, because you never know if Snyder will try to get Manganiello for Batman for that reason. Josh Brolin is the only older actor with chops that I think can get into amazing shape to match Cavill in some way.
You know, that ain't a bad idea at all. Stallone is nothing to sneeze at, he's a legendary star and you absolutely need stars for such larger than life roles. Miller wanted Stallone, Aronofsky wanted Eastwood. I am cool with both. Both legends.Remember when Frank Miller said he wanted Stallone to play his Returns-Batman after watching "Rocky Balboa". Haha uh oh! Zack is going to Frank for this!![]()
Cavill had to work for 8 months to get his MOS physique, Joe M could start filming tomorrow! That man does not even need to make a transformation, he's already in insane shape. Then if this is how Snyder will want Batman, Joe Manganiello would "set the bar" .... with heavy weights and bench at his maximum.

He'd make an even better Batman now! If they were going with a mid 50s Bruce it would be perfect. You see his pics training for Expendables? The guy would be perfection for Miller-Bats. But unfortunately (or is it fortunately?) theyre probably looking for younger since Henry is so young.Mel Gibson would've been a great Batman/Bruce Wayne back in the day... but he could still be an older Lex Luthor who's in great shape. He'd be another actor like Costner or Crowe to bring some gravitas... better post this on the Luthor thread.
Bale's Batman NEVER conveyed genius intelligence. He readily walked into traps all the time and did no research leaving Alfred or Lucius to do all the mentually taxing work.wouldn't be able to convey genius intelligence
10 years ago Eastwood would have been the perfect Batman Beyond Bruce, but now he's too old and out of acting. It's too risky. You know, that ain't a bad idea at all.
