I have a question for some of you. Has anybody here ever bought and cosplayed/wore a Batman costume? like a legit one? I'm thinking of purchasing one for myself and I have some concerns. My concerns are these:
Has anyone purchased this costume particularly? If so how was it?

I wear glasses, will I be able to wear the cowl well and can I work around it?
For those who wore this costume/have experience working with costumes, I'm thinking of changing up some features like the gauntlets and maybe the cape. What should I do?

short answer, doesn't look like this. Cheaply made. Needs a lot of work done to it to make it presentable. Not worth the money.

I don't suppose you've purchased this costume before? What does it look like really(pictures would be nice)? What's the best possible Batman costume I could get then? Should I just go with a Dark Knight Trilogy Grand Heritage or something?

We've had members on the BOTB buy the Grand Heritage costumes. They need a lot of work. The latex armor is thin and needs to be supported with either foam or more latex to help it hold proper shape of the muscles. The pieces are big and don't usually fir the individual right, so some trimming and gluing onto some type of an undersuit is usually required. The cowls are garbage. Very thin, flimsy, and are HUGE. You will need to pad the heck out of it to fit right unless you have a 25 - 26 inch head. If you are going to spend that kind of money you're better off checking evilbay for armor pieces. Or you could join the Brotherhood of the Bat and make your own.

The licensed pieces are simply mass produced costumes that do not look like the stock photos.

Ah ok. That sucks

So then in that case, where do I begin in getting together a Batsuit akin to both the Arkham suit/New 52 then?

The cowl and the gauntlets are the only things I'm interested in from the Arkham suit btw.

Also, can it be possible I can comfortably wear a cowl with glasses?

I wear glasses and costumed as Batman for 12 years. Cowls fit too tight around your eyes to wear glasses. Some have tried to rig lenses into the cowl, but unless you can trim them to fit the shape of the eye cuts, it just doesn't work.

If you aren't in a hurry, and are serious about making a decent suit, I suggest joining the Brotherhood of the Bat on Runboard. Otherwise, it's ol ebay.

Ok I'll check out Brotherhood of the Bat. What would you recommend on ebay?

Hey you can find best mask for batman suit up for the bat man dress. I'll say it will be best mask collection for your dress suit. These days you can own it for very cheap price, otherwise stock will not available. If you interested to grab it today then visit here http://ebay.eu/2rQpLIW

3 1/2 years go by and I get some weird notification that I received a message pertaining to this thread. lol Just when I think I'm out, I get pulled back in.

Since I'm here, it's kind of funny how drastically the costuming hobby has changed in 3 years time. Batman suits are basically "off the rack" now, as is about anything for any character you can think of. Doing this type of thing has become it's own culture, and is very prominent in todays society. I've actually stopped and have moved on to other things, but still own a suit.
