Your PERFECT Batman Movie Suit

My ideal suit:

It's all black, and made primairily of a nylon/spider silk weave. It's padded with Kevlar, and especially padded on the chest and back. These areas are also reinforced with ceramic platting. The gloves and boots are leather, and are reinforced with ceramics in the toes and knuckles. The mask comes in two parts. One is the basic mask, which is like a regular ninja mask. The other is the cowl. It's kind of like an old leather football helmet that covers the eyes. It's black leather, is padded with kevlar, and is armored in some places with ceramics. The lenses are Lexcorp starlight night vision lenses that he purchased. The cape is made of the same material as the suit, and connects to his torso by a black metal clasp shaped like a bat that atatches to his chest. The belt is a standard military style utility belt. In it, he carries boomerang like shuriken of his own design he calls "batarangs," a colapsable bo staff, flashbangs, flexi cuffs, smoke pellets, a taser, and several sedative blow darts. he keeps the blow gun in his boot.

The Batman Forever "Panther" suit. Only modifications I would make would be to give the suit more of a matte finish and remove the nipples. Might also give his belt more bulk (compartments, etc.). I actually like each Batsuit so far, (except the horrid B&R "freeze" suit). I would love to see
Nolan use the oval symbol like the Panther suit's.

Yeah, I like most of the movie suits too, but I'm not too sure about Val Kilmer's sonar suit, or either of George Clooney's, especially the crappy freeze-suit.

the thing i don't like about the primary suits in schumacher's batfilms is the way overdone musculature, it looks ridiculous and (pardon the ignorance of this statement) very, very gay. that much definition just makes bruce seem like he's obsessed with the male form.

Double true...

Better be careful on this one. The Schumacher suits were actually closest to the classic Batman look. The comics have always represented Batman in a hyper-muscularized way. Sans nipples, the Batman Forever Panther suit is without a doubt the most "authentic" version.

Closer to the comics? So what?

The Begins suit was completly black... look on Bob Dullams begins suits,, he run em in Foam latex.. just like the real movie suits.. and same brand as in begins.
ALso black, but may look grey in some sets and lightings.

Still black :p

Well then, i'd prefer the emblem to be of a material that makes it appear darker in certain lighting conditions... if that's how you'd prefer me to say it.

But yeah, darker emblem...

Ladies, please, this is the best costume:

This about fits it:

Just take out the undies and make the gloves and gauntlets one piece and it's perfect.

I'd like to see the Begins suit, with the armored plating toned down, and then give the rubber a texture akin to cracked stone so that he looks like an animated gargoyle.

I always liked the Dead End costume.

yeah but in the comics that's just the way bruce's body looks. in the movies you have to remember that the suit is sculpted, and that means someone in the context of the story sculpted the suit that way.

And what is the life action Batman based on? Comics...

The panther suit was made to look sleek, panther like.
The muscles is just a little bigger then in '89
I personally see no reason it look "gayish" because i think it looks badass in dark lightnings and batmans suit is supposed to look organic, bat like and frightning. the foam latex suit does just that.

Even if we get a fit batman whit a spandex batman suit, you will see the nipples and some of the muscles, ala Dead End.

I think you see what you wanna see, You might think its gay for personal reasons.
Some not.
Like someone above said, it looks exactly like batman in the comics.

Also keep in mind that the Forever and B&R suits were sculpted whit muscles so it looks like batman have a spandex suit on, Like in the comics.
The suits were rubber outside the movie, in the movie they were kevlar armor.. like in Begins.. but in reality their just Foam latex suits. heh.

Cowl: Batman Begins cowl but with the shape of the Batman 89 cowl and the head movement of the The Dark Knight cowl
Chest Symbol: Batman Begins
Cape: Flowy Batman Begins cape but wrapped around the neck like the Batman 89 cape
Body Armor: Batman Begins armor but with muscular details and shape like the Batman Forever Panther suit
Gauntlets: Batman Begins
Legs: Batman Forever Panther legs
Boots: Batman Forever Panther boots
Utility Belt: Batman Begins
Man Beneath the Cowl: Christian Bale

The bodysuit should be all grey. The cowl, cape, gauntlets and boots should be dark blue.

The Panther suit, sans nipples would be like the perfect suit.

i don't think you need to try to get psychological with me. i'm not homophobic and if i were gay i'd be very open about it. it's really this simple, in the context of the film, bruce sculpts the musculature of the suits, the fact that the suits are muscular to match the look of the comic is not the issue, or the fact that they need to look organic. that's achieved and achieved well with the 89 suit. my only point was the musculature on the schumacher suits was way, way overdone. i have trouble believing bruce would sculpt them that way.

Yeah, for me it would have to be the suit from the new Arkham Asylum video game^. Except proportioned more realistically, with shorter "ears", and with less bulky looking gloves and belt.

I agree with some of you : the panther suit is the best (without the nipples). Nevertheless, I dislike this idea of fake muscles. I can understand that it is working fine in a dark alley in gotham city where one can think these are actually the real muscles of Batman, but in this case I think the batman 89 armor is better. The panther suit is too much.

My perfect batsuit would be all black, like the batman begins suit but without all those fake lines or muscles, more like a scuba-diving swimsuit, cylinder/pouches belt, gloves with protection like the gauntlets of batman begins, oval symbol, and the mask : the panther suit one. I think it is perfect and I love the texture.

I always thought that a "realistic" nolan-istic batman should be in gray. Fark dark gray, but not black. Keep the black for the more magic movies.
When I saw B.Begins I thought the suit was grey sometimes and I thought that was clever, remembering the old "Leon the professional" saying : "never darker than the ground". I keep thinking batman would be more "urban" in gray.:
