Batman discussion thread.

From reading ASB, I don't have any trust in Miller with him being the writer of any title.

This arc was a total letdown. I liked how it started, but the ending sucked. I hate that lame cliche of leaving a character's status up in the air for a few months and then bringing them back all dramatically. I can tell that's what they've got planned for Damien. Lame. :down

If this were Bizaro world, this dicussion would not be happening, as you would both love the damien character.

i don't necesarily hate him. he's got potential in the right hands. i just don't like what's been done with him so far.

You could tell? Well, Grant Morrison only came right out and said just that in the latest Wizard.

I haven't read 658 yet. What has happened, please?

The ending was quite lack-luster, but I'm hoping it just feeds into a larger plot Morrison has going, rather than just pulling another Hush.

i don't recall him saying that. he said something about finding out if the kid would be a recurring character in the bat-universe, but he didn't say anything about faking the kid's death only to bring him back later like some kind of hush bull****.

I despise Wizard. :cmad:

Detective Comics #826 was superb. However, I can't say the same about the current arc in the Batman title.

I wonder if you're allowed to be a professional artist without drawing at least one image of Batman sulking in the 'Cave.

Batman sulking in the Batcave is a recurring theme.
Are you serious? Holy crap! I never noticed! Thank you for pointing that out to me, for suddenly all Batman comics have new-found meaning!

You're not. You also have to draw a Spider-Man cover where he's webslinging in mid-air with no buildings around him.
