Batman Firsts

Yeah, this was already said here by Mister Meddle, he covered the first of the all black colour, as well as the armoured aspect.

The first time we see Batman wearing a black armored suit.

let's see if if i can think of any while i am here...

first time...

Burton... Batman uses a gruff voice act to disguise his identity and scare criminals.(BM)

Schumacher... Batman uses the same speaking voice as he does when he is Bruce Wayne.(BandR)

Schumacher...we see a criminal incarcerated at Arkham Asylum.(BF)

Burton...we see Batman sporting the classic bat-emblem design on yellow from the comics.(BR)

Schumacher...we see Batman swinging on a rope into a scene and landing on the ground.(BF)

well I do see it was previously posted posting on the boards from my small phone is kinda tough. But when I said "all black" I mean black in general a departure from the classic blue, grey and yellow with the black bat.

Yeah, definitely. But that had already been said in the thread so when you said "all black" I thought that's what you meant, literally. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Yeah Two-Face, Milu got there first with that one, with my own AA observation, I was meaning more along particular lines of us seeing a character incarcerated for the first time, as opposed to being killed off(or mysteriously surviving and staying on the loose like Catwoman).

Schumacher films-

[*]The first time we see Arkham Asylum and Wayne Enterprises.

and another...

Burton...First time we see Batman talk to Commisioner Gordon.(BR)

Burton's Batman - First time Bruce Wayne beds the girl. And, apart from Clooney's Batman - I assume he did it too - I can't think of any other Batman scoring.

Another Schumacher: Forever was the first Bat-Movie where Batman spends just about every fighting scene fighting mooks. He didn't fight the Riddler, and that part where Two-Face kicks him as he's climbing the helicopter hardly constitutes a fight.

Shumacher Films First Time Someone Else Uses The Batsignal Besides Gordon (Chase). BF

Shumacher Films First And Only Time Dick Drives The Batmobile. BF

he did punch TF in the face through the helicopter window. I really always thought that scene was badass when he used the cowl and broke through the rest of the glass.

Burtons...first time...

...a scene from the comics is directly translated to the screen(Batman's 1st appearance from DC 27).(BM)

...there is a story influence from the 60s tv show(Penguin running for Mayor).(BR)

Schumacher....

first time...

...there is a story influence and scene directly translated from Batman: The Animated Series(Mr.Freeze's origin and Arkham scene).

Burton/Shumacher films - a different actor portraying the Mayor of Gotham, although B&R didn't have the mayor in it.

Nolan Films First Time We See Batman Posers. TDK

Nolan Films First And Only Time We See Gordon Drive The Batmobile. BB

Burton Films First Time We See Jack/Joker Having A Girlfriend .BM

Shumacher Films First Time We See Robin Signal. UGH WHY. BandR

Was Batman Begins the first where Wayne Manor didn't have a gate?

Nolan Films, Having The Same Director For All Three Films.BB TDK TDKR.

Keaton BatFilms - First (and only) time Batman killed people (intentionally; other than potential deaths due to carelessness (Nolan))

I would absolutely argue that Kilmer's Batman at least committed homicide. Throwing numerous objects at a person standing on a small ledge above shards of large spikes...definitely killed him.

Nolan: Batman with white eyes.....awesomeness
It reminded me of the lenses Batman used in Forever although I don't know what the point of it was other than to protect his eyes from the shattered glass.

Burton:
Dark, atmospheric version of Batman
Terrific background score

Nolan:
A relatively low profile actor playing a villain (BB - Scarecrow)
Gordon that does not act like a baboon (BB)
Batmobile on rooftops (BB)
Batman in training (BB)
Batman assembling his outfit (BB)
A villain survives and is out in open (BB - Scarecrow)
A villain from one of the older movies reused (TDK - Joker, Two Face) [I know it's a reboot, but still]
Batman out of Gotham (TDK)
Batman can turn his head (TDK)
No Batcave (TDK)
Batpod (TDK)
Batman interrogating inside a police station (TDK)
Nobody discovers the true identity of Batman throughout an entire movie (TDK)

Schumacher:
A villain does not die (BF, Riddler)
Batman smiles in batsuit (BF)
Batman with nipples (BnR)

In Batman Returns batman smiles in the suit after he puts the dynamite on the fat mans stomach and punches him down into some kind of gutter or dropdown.

It's a slight smile but in B89 when he confronted Napier. This smile is so badass.

He looks hilarious with the mask eye slits coming down too far over his eyes.

Burton films first time Batman jumps through a skylight. BM

Nolan films first time we see Gordon Dent and Batman together. TDK
