Batman Forever: Dark Knight Edition

Are there any reviews available from anyone who has actually seen it? If it doesn't make the movie significantly better there's really no point.

New Development. Apparently a certain site has it posted where it can allegedly be downloaded. It's probably against the rules to post anything regarding piracy here (even though no one is making a profit off of this, so it's probably not illegal), but I suppose I could help people out through PM if anyone is interested.

Look: PM ;)

Thx

The link I have is for the so-called "Red Book Edition", which allegedly restores 30 minutes of footage. Hopefully this is the copy of the film we all want to see, or something very similar. Everyone who has PM'd me has the link, and since it takes time to download 4 gigs, it's tough to be 100% sure that it's the right copy. So, anyone who still wants the link, go ahead and PM me and I'll send it right over.

the red book edition has this cover, not the same fan edit, i don't think

Apparently, as DocLathropBrown has pointed out to me, the Red Book Edition is the next best thing to the Dark Knight edition. As I suspected, they are similar and I do still have the link to the torrent if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the PM mate. I just watched the original BF, i love it but still, im very interested in this.

100% fact that the Red Book edition and the Dark Knight edition are NOT the same fan edits.

That's what I've said above. They aren't exactly the same cuts of the movie, but Red Book Edition is VERY similar to the Dark Knight Edition. It's basically the next best thing to the actual Dark Knight Edition. At this point, anything that makes Batman Forever better and is available is a good thing.

I have seen both edits.

They are only as similer as the source itself will allow it to be. As afar as reinserting footage and such.

The dark knight edition "remixes" the entire film. It's a much different film.

Don't get your hopes up on seeing the dark knight edition anytime soon.

Just so everyone knows, I'm DrakeRetro/Scissorpuppy. I am the one who first posted the news on the fan edit boards.

Before anyone say anything about " You said you would never come back to SHH" Yes I did say that, but I wanted to post on this topic to make sure everyone knows that the dark knight edition is not the same as any other
edit.

A professional editor in hollywood worked on this edit for over 2 years. It was edited on a high end editing system. I was at the "party" where it was first shown. 10 copies were given out, but I don't think this edit was ever inteneded to go beyond them. I have tried very hard to get a copy, but I haven't had any luck. That was almost 6 months ago when i saw it.

Chances are if someone claims to have this edit, they are A lying B have a different edit that they think is this one or C hussling you.

I think since most of the people involved in the edit work in hollywood, they'd rather not release it and keep it to themselves. For fear of some sort of "blacklisting". I can say that next to the rumored pending schmacher edit, this is the best version of BF ever. And fits very much with the first two films.

If you have seen any of the superman part 2 footage on Youtube that "saloman" is doing ( I think that is his name ) you'll get an idea of the quality put into the Dark knight edit. Hopefully one day fans will be able to see this great edit.

The only way anyone that wasn't at the party that night will see the dark knight edit is...

1. The editor decides to release it ( 99% sure this isn't gonna happen )
2. One of the ten copies is given to someone who will put it on the net, or send it to someone who will. ( It's been 6 months, pretty sure it's not gonna happen anytime soon)

I have made contact with 2 people who I thought had a copy. They deny having it. I did get a screencap in an email along with artwork. But that trail has since gone cold. To be honest, I think that person saw my post on the OT forums and got scared away. He hasn't replied since, and the email address is now listed as deleted.

i dont think its possible to make Forever match up to burtons films in darkness, but its interesting to see some ppl try to make a feel more like a sequel, even though it really isnt. anywhere i can download this?

the whole thing stinks like yesterdays diapers.

i think this is some made up bs.
