Batman movies on the IMDb

To the poster who said that the Batman Returns script is regarded as one of the best of the 1990s, all I've got to say is, "You've gotta be kidding me!" I watched this last night after not watching it in quite some time and it has tons of cheesy one-liners, a criticism that people continue to heap on Batman Begins. I was actually surprised by the number of lame lines in BR after not watching it all the way through in probably a year or so. At any rate, I'd say that it's worthy of around a 7 on IMDB, so that 6.7 isn't too far off although it is slightly underrated. Batman might actually be slightly overrated because I don't think it's much better than Batman Returns to be honest. They're both good but I just don't see how Batman is 0.8 better. I just don't see it. Batman Begins is probably overrated but I couldn't care less. It's a better film than any other live action Batman films, so there you have it. The Star Wars films are all overrated when you think about it, and that includes the original trilogy. The Lord of the Rings films are overrated, the Matrix is overrated, and so on. There's tons of overrated films in the Top 250. BB happens to be one of them, but like I said I think it's better than the other Batman films so as long as it's rating is higher than those, I don't really have much of a problem with it.

We'll see how the tune changes when The Dark Knight arrives and make begins look like the weak effort it was...

We'll get better editing, better acting, the whole barrel of toys hopefully.

There are one-liners in Batman Returns because it has to operate as a comicbook action movie. Look beyond that.
