Telltale has done the impossible. They said the entire series would release in 2016 and they stuck to it! They never faltered no their monthly schedule and good on them
Does anyone know if the Episode 5 download will actually go live at midnight tonight, or would it be sometime during the day tomorrow? I'm getting home late tonight and wondering if I'll be able to burn through this episode when I do. Pretty excited for it.
Just finished the season finale of Batman. Out of the 5, episode 3 was probably my favorite. Now the wait for the next one.
Episode was quite good. Only disappointment was [blackout]Two-Face. Not much of a showdown. Will have to see how much different it is when you choose to save Alfred in ep 4 instead. Maybe it's more satisfying.[/blackout]
But yeah, Overall this was pretty awesome and a great take on the characters IMO. Can't wait for season 2.
Look forward to replaying it all back to back now that it's done. Make the opposite choices and see how different things are.
I didn't come across too many bugs except for some audio delay, which was annoying.
Overall it was a cool story. TellTale is still terrible from the "game" aspect of things, but they do craft some decent narratives. This was a pretty damn cool adventure save for the [BLACKOUT]Vicki Vale is a super villain[/BLACKOUT] nonsense. One of the dumbest liberties iv seen taken with a Batman character.
Ill prob pick up season 2 though. Look forward to seeing more of John Doe.
Episode 5: I am [BLACKOUT]at the point where I am in the Batcave, looking through the clues Alfred left me in the reflection of his glasses. I finish doing that, and its time for me and Lucius to look at the holographic map. But when the map pops up I can't do ****. I can't move the map, or rotate it, or do anything. Its like the game is frozen. WTF?[/BLACKOUT]
Haha Rodrigo, that glitch happened to me too! It's so funny watching the eyes and mouth run around the room when all hell breaks loose.
Yeah, this episode, unfortunately for my playthrough, was littered with bugs. I can look past them though.
For those who also finished this episode...
Anyone else kind of feel like a lot was left to be desired? I feel like it turned from this interesting narrative to...just, meh. It went really generic with the plot and rather than giving us things we haven't seen in Batman mythology, it went pretty generic.
I also couldn't view the stats page for this episode. It's always fun seeing how others played the episode. I felt like a lot of the opened threads to this story got shoehorned in. Maybe that's just me though. I did like the Vicki thread where her parents weren't who they were thought to be however, nothing really grabbed at me. Telltale did an awesome job making you feel like Batman in the other episodes but in this one it felt like it didn't get that same TLC.
Like keeping Alfred in the Vale's basement or the liberation of Asylum patients...those were all "on the nose" that I was surprised it took Batman so long to figure it out. Haha

Yeah, I appreciated the subtlety taken in the last episode where they hinted that the Vales were abusive. It was kinda silly they had to return to the house just to make it obvious.
Overall I think it was a great story with some great characterization. However I am beyond tired of Batman creators and their "villain twists", especially if they add nothing to the characterization.
Arkham Knight/Todd was lame, Lady Arkham/Vicki was lame. This game was doing a brilliant job with Two-Face and Penguin, should have stuck with them to the end.

Im glad I was the only one disappointed in the finale. It did feel underwhelming. I thought the series peaked with episode 3 and its been downhill since then
Now I wonder if we'll actually get a season 2. To date TWD is the only franchise that has had more than 1 season. TTG keeps taking on new IPs yet they never go back to the others despite leaving things open. I wish they'd slow down and revisit Wolf Among Us but we now they are doing GoTG and TWD:S3 next.
Wait, just a question about alt versions of Catwoman and Harvey:
What happens to Catwoman and Batman's relationship if you save Harvey over Selina? During ep. 3 she gave Bruce the cold shoulder but seemed to fall for him towards the end of the series if you keep seeing the good in her. I also got the postcard.
I liked the final episode overall. The final boss fight was a lot of fun, but I missed it -was there an option to kill the baddy yourself? I was playing a no-kill Batman anyway, just curious.
I really thought the young kid in the Vale house was going to turn out to be Dick Grayson. Maybe he still will, I think that'd be cool and suit the different direction Telltale is taking with the lore.
I agree. It was a little odd just seeing him doing something so mundane. Not that it had to be spectacular, but that little scene seemed like a complete after thought/rush job. Like they forgot about him and all the voice work was already done so they had to throw something together at the last minute.
