Batman: The Telltale Series

Also, cast has been announced:

Troy Baker (The Last of Us) as Bruce Wayne
Laura Bailey (Tales From the Borderlands) as Selina Kyle
Travis Willingham (Ratchet & Clank) as Harvey Dent
Erin Yvette (Oxenfree) as Vicki Vale
Enn Reitel (Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots) as Alfred Pennyworth
Murphy Guyer (Red Dead Redemption) as Lieutenant James Gordon
Richard McGonagle (Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End) as Carmine Falcone.

Lt. Gordon, Carmine Falcone...I wonder if this is going to be based, at least in part, on Year One?

Also, I am noticing a lack of the Joker in the credits. Ya gotta think he is gonna show up at some point. Although Telltale has cast Troy Baker as Batman. Troy Baker has voiced the Joker numerous times, most notably in Arkham Origins. I wonder if he is doing double duty?

At any rate, I really wouldn't be surprised if this launches in the next week or two. Usually once Telltale starts showing images and releasing trailers (which will likely happen at some point today...they are releasing The Walking Dead Season 3 teaser during their segment of IGN's pre-E3 show, I'm guessing a proper Batman trailer will also be part of it), release usually isn't far behind. I could see them releasing as early as Tuesday and no later than the end of June.

The suit gives me a bit of an Arkham Origins vibe.

Yeah... I'm getting an Arkham Origins vibe, only with some cel-shading.

Any Arkham Origins vibes are a plus

That's what I've been wondering. If this is set early in his career. Can't wait for a trailer.

The last shot reminds me of The Wolf Among Us for some reason, which was awesome

Screens don't look anything interesting, even though I'm really happy to see how Darwyn Cooke's Catwoman design became such a classic. I personally expected more "gothic" look of the game. To make it look a bit different from films and games of recent.

They just said it will probably release around August.

Yeah but when does every new episode after the first one come out?

I love TTs art style.

I especially loved the Fables game. That blew my mind and really got me into the comics.

Yeah but when does every new episode after the first one come out?

When Back to the Future and The Walking Dead were their only games, it was generally a month to a month and a half wait. Since then it has usually been a two to three month wait between episodes.

That said, the episodic nature may not be as big of a factor here. This was described as unlike past Telltale games in the sense that each episode is like a "mini-movie" that can apparently stand on its own (though I am guessing there is some sort of overarcing story)

Not a huge fan of the pieced together-looking cowl but it all still looks good. I'm really interested in the emphasis they're putting on Bruce outside the cowl. It could serve as a really full exploration of the character. Also looking forward to what Troy Baker does, obvious a choice as he may be.

cool images and i love the suit

looks like a cross between the New 52 & Arkham Origins suit

Oooooooh yeah!

I like what I see and hear.

I wonder if Batman will have alternate batsuits. I know nothing of Tell Tale games, is that something they do?

Well, yes and no. Telltale doesn't really do alternate skins because it's not that kind of game (the best way to think of a telltale game is an interactive cartoon...game play puts emphasis on choice, dialogue, and how each effects the story).. But characters do sometimes change clothing from episode to episode or sometimes even scene to scene. So different suits is not totally inconceivable, so long as the plot justifies it.
